There’s nothing quite like eating fresh, local ingredients – when tomatoes actually taste sweet and tangy and aren’t some sort of tasteless, pulpy triviality. Is there really a vitamin of some sort in those things? We aren’t sure, and so we say, “Carry on locavore movement!”
Well, the Shangri-La Vancouver Hotel is doing just that. On Sunday August 19 and September 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., some of British Columbia’s best local food purveyors will be on hand at the MARKET restaurant’s terrace dishing up some of the best seafood, fresh fruit, organic veggies, baked goods, jams and jellies for you to sample. There’s even local wine on hand to taste.
While you nibble on the local products and purchase some goodies to take home with you, enjoy the live music brought in to entertain.
