Dolphin Hotel No Longer Good Enough for Jane Austen

Supposedly The Dolphin Hotel in central Southhampton, England is a three star. But looking into the place raises the need to demote some star status.
Sure, famous people have stayed here...a million years ago. As the hotel was established in the 13th centrury, Lord Nelson, Queen Victoria, and even Jane Austen have stayed here, but we doubt they would today.
We commend this guest for the following quaint ability to describe the disgusting. Her description could have rivaled Austen's herself, had she stayed here in this decade:
The whole hotel was dirty and in a dire need of a good clean. The floor matting all around the hotel was stained with what looked like vomit and it was very dusty.
To date, there are several complaints logged about the mysterious stains on the floor. This guest was perturbed enough to complain:
On complaining to the manager, I politely said that I was going to be "candid" at which point he got up and said that he wasn't talking to me. He didn't understand the word! He thought it meant abusive! He went away with a flunky who then returned with a GBP35 discount. It would have been nice if he had bothered to come and say "sorry".
Although we feel the pain of this guest, we do enjoy the theatrics behind this imagined scene. We envision this guest's porcelain colored face beginning to turn red as a cherry blossom, heated with disappointment and then uttering these last words: "We shall never stay there again!" And nor shall we.
