Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt Opens in Buenos Aires

[Ed. Note: Hotel Maven Tim Leffel wasn't just skulking around Robert Duvall's Argentine getaway during his trip there this month. He was actually able to attend the opening of the Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires. Here's his report. Enjoy.]
After a few extra weeks of wrangling with local inspectors, the long-awaited Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires officially opened its doors last Wednesday.
At a reported cost north of $75 million, the newest luxury hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina ups everything up a notch. Thankfully, the money didn't go to waste as this is no routine chain hotel.
The entrance is on Avenida Alvear---the most chic street in town---where guests are greeted with all the marble and chandeliers fitting the original palace building. After that, however, the place is as modern as an exhibit at the MALBA museum a few miles away.
More on Tim's take of the hotel after the jump.
