Tori Spelling Now Allowed to Officiate Marriages at Her B&B

Or at least, she will get one good episode out of it for her second season of Tori and Dean: Inn Love.
Tori Spelling has recently updated her MySpace blog to let us know that she has been ordained (over the internet) as a Reverend of some sorts. And she put her new print-out Reverend's license to good work by officiating at the life partner ceremony of Tony and Dex at--where else?--Chateau La Rue.

Tori and Dean: Inn Love, Hosting the Guests
May 2, 2007 at 12:32 PM | 3 Comments

It's hard to want to write about this week's Tori and Dean episode since we have heard how deceitful they have been. We never thought Dean had this much coldness in his heart but we have come to realize that Dean is here to play the Hollywood game and who better to learn from than little Ms. 90210 herself, Tori Spelling. (Perhaps we should start making some "Divorce Tori" t-shirts?)
What are we babbling about, you ask? Well the duo, who consistently whine about how they invested their life-savings into this B & B, were just faking it for the show as the Fallbrook Village News paper revealed that the property has not been sold to anyone recently, although it's still up for sale.
But the show must go on. And this week, Tori and Dean host the first guests at Chateau La Rue.

Breaking But Not Surprising News: Tori Spelling Doesn't Own Chateau La Rue
April 30, 2007 at 5:23 PM | 1 Comment

A tipster pointed us in the way of this recent article from the Fallbrook Village News about Tori Spelling's B & B and it turns out Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott DO NOT actually own Chateau La Rue. Which means that all that crap the media bought from the duo about them taking Tori's pithy $800,000 inheritance from Daddy Spelling and investing it in a B & B is exactly that, crap.
Reporter Christina Macone-Green writes:
A trip down to the San Diego County Assessors office on April 19 proved to be quite interesting. An assessment clerk, Ms. Lerma, easily pulled up the Chateau La Rue property address and reported that there had been no activity since 2004. There was no new document number and/or transaction for this residence.
"Nothing new has been recorded with the County of San Diego," Lerma said. The assessment clerk explained that the computer systems were up to date, having only a three-day lapse for transactions.
So who are the property owners of this Fallbrook bed and breakfast? There is no one new. "Christopher King and Patricia King are still the owners," asserted Lerma.
If you haven't been watching every episode, like we have, Patricia was featured in the episode where Tori and Dean negotiate a price for the B & B. Dean thoughtfully writes a number down on a piece of paper and slides it over to Patricia, who decides to "think about it." Then Tori and Dean "anxiously" await her call where she finally agrees to "sell" it to them for their price.
So don't feel bad for Tori or Dean when they stress over putting their "life savings" into this venture, even if they mention it like 10 times in every episode. You should actually feel bad for Oxygen!, because we're guessing they are paying for everything, including the Tori Spelling drag queens.
But if you're interested, you can buy the B & B which is for sale at $2.6 million, down from its original asking price of $3.4 million.

Tori Spelling's B & B Starts at $150 a Night
April 30, 2007 at 4:51 PM | 0 Comments

We didn't think Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott's B & B Chateau La Rue was actually open to customers that weren't hired by Oxygen! for an episode of their reality TV show, Tori and Dean: Inn Love.
In fact, when we first inquired about staying for a night, we got some automated reply which said Tori was recuperating from the birth of her son and thus, the B & B was taking a break/is on hiatus.
But we decided to check-in again with the reservations email hotline. And again we got another automated reply but this one had some good information. Rooms start at $150 on weeknights, and $200 for the weekend. There is a two-night stay required over weekends. You can book by calling 1-877-451-2468.
We also discovered three reviews on TripAdvisor. Although, something doesn't seem quite right.

Tori and Dean: Inn Love, The Opening Gala
April 25, 2007 at 12:44 PM | 0 Comments

Honestly, we didn't think we could take another Tori and Dean episode after last week's one which featured a circumcision discussion. But this week, Tori and Dean held their opening gala for Chateau La Rue and who are we to miss a chance to witness some Tori Spelling drag queens.

Another Tuesday, Another Tori and Dean: Inn Love episode.
Tori kicks off the episode in bed, once again talking too loudly about how she got her hands dirty in fixing up their B&b Chateau La Rue in last week's episode.
Poor Dean, who we admit to having a slight crush on. He too is getting sick of listening to her and just rolls over to tune her out.

Tori and Dean: Inn Love, Renovating the B&B
April 11, 2007 at 11:52 AM | 0 Comments

As the episodes go on, Tori and Dean are pulling more and more copycat scenes from The Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. In this episode, renovations begin on the B&B on a budget of course. It kicks off with Tori and Dean attending a seminar for B&B proprietors so they can get a crash course in running such a property. Here they learn among other things what types of appliances to put in their B&B, Chateau La Rue and what types of chores they need to do daily. Tori doing chores? Not gonna happen, she says.
Full episode recap if you dare after the jump.

Tori and Dean: Inn Love, Buying the B&B

Judging from last week's previews we were excited for last night's episode of Tori and Dean: Inn Love mainly because Dean gets drunk and tries to charm the pants off little old ladies.
Ugh were we wrong.
In the intro/recap, Tori talks at high-speed about courting the neighbors in Fallbrook and the current B&B's owner. All the while, Dean is cradling Tori's dog Mimi La Rue like a baby. Tori is too brightly lit up in that hot pink shirt but we swear Dean can do no wrong, even while holding a pug.

Tori and Dean: Inn Love, Finding a B&B
March 28, 2007 at 11:59 AM | 0 Comments

We're back with the second episode recap of Tori & Dean: Inn Love. To be honest, we didn't know if we were going to make it through this episode because the first minute includes this shot of Dean reaping the two biggest benefits of Tori's pregnancy. (Especially because at one point they looked like this.)
Yet we decided to keep on watching purely because we know how much it means to you dear readers. Anyways, this episode was largely about the baby (registering for baby shower, unnecessary trips to the doctor, etc.) and about finding the right B&B. Nick and Jessica...er sorry, Tori and Dean toured a few towns north and south of Los Angeles and kept running into the type of B&Bs they did not want to own and operate.
One held weekly bible study groups prompting Tori to say if she owned the place, she would just get her guests drunk. Another was too far remote that there wasn't even a McDonald's closeby, which is funny because Chateau La Rue actually has a McDonald's at the end of the road. It shares the space with a gas station but hey, they still serve cheeseburgers.
Naturally, the couple find their ideal B&B (now Chateau La Rue). It's key selling points are a huge property, a dramatic driveway and sex toy/lingerie shop in the town of Fallbrook, where Tori and Dean check out the wares. (Tori's thoughts on "toys", "I'm not about animals, I'm about power.")
Sad Dean Moment of Episode 2:
Dean sees a little local theater for acting in the town of Fallbrook and Tori says, "You can teach there." And Dean replies, "Actually, I was thinking about getting my acting career back on track."
Overall the episode was weak. However, the previews for next week's look pretty good with Dean and Tori making an offer that the B&B owner finds insulting, Dean and Tori attending a town meeting, and Dean getting drunk with some old ladies (those lucky hags!)

Tori Spelling's B & B Taking Online Reservations...Sort Of
March 23, 2007 at 5:08 PM | 1 Comment

USA Today's Hotel Hotsheet, ever hot on the tail of Tori Spelling, reported today that the 90210 star's Chateau La Rue now has its very own website.
Of course, the web site is decked out in Tori's favorite colors blue and brown with some yellow. But you can't book online just yet. You can send an email to their reservations hotline with your dates and questions.
So far, no word on cost but the place already has a TripAdvisor page, confirming that this inn does actually exist outside the Oxygen channel.
