Sea Sprite Motel: Will the real slim shady please stand up?
[Publisher's note: Here is an update we got from a hotel maven exploring Hermosa Beach. If you are a hotel, and you are referred to as the real slim shady, that is not a good thing. If you put on a fake accent to avoid talking with customers, that is also not a good thing. Sounds like Cyblil might be managing this hotel, at least during R.J.'s stay. As always this is one customer's experience, so do with it what you may. ]
Hi all,
Wow. What a mess. Look up the word "shady" in the dictionary and you'll find the Sea Sprite Motel.
Let's get beyond the actual dingy property, complete with moldy rooms, dog-hair covered carpet, and barely functioning toilets.
The Sea Sprite are outright thieves! Cancelled a final night with them after being promised by the manager that they had re-rented the room and it would be no problem. I would receive a check in the mail.
Yes, those were my first and last two mistakes: "The check's in the mail" and I walked away without the money in hand.
I've been calling him and have gotten him several times, but he would act like somebody else! Even putting on a lame accent.
I finally caught him by acting like a friend and saying his name..."Hey, what's up?" To which he finally said, "Hey, what's up?"
When I told him who I was, he promptly put me on hold for 5 minutes. Hm.
Do not stay here. Every guest I witnessed while in and out at the front desk were having problems too, to which their staff were completely unmoved.
Sincerely, R.J.
