Steve Wynn is apparently having problems with his new nightclub, La Bete, which means "The Beast" in French.

Frank Tucker, his original director of nightclub operations, unexpectedly quit a week after the La Bete opened.

Since then Wynn has approached several nightclub operators about a job, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.

A leading candidate emerging is Victor Drai, who moved his self-named Hollywood restaurant and nightspot to the Barbary Coast in 1997.

But Wynn was also checking out Pure, at Caesars Palace where Robert Frey operates.

Maybe he should just resort to a tried-and-true practice, pay Paris Hilton to show up.
