Hotel Provides Winos With Aftershave
Here's a great hotel for an art fanatic, one where you can actually have a view of the Guggenheim right from your room: Bilbao's Hotel Miro.
And if that's not enough, don't worry, the hotel is a member of "Designs Hotels International", designed by beloved Barcelona native, fashion-designer, Antonio Miro, who made sure the rooms were designed so that "clients can forget they are in a hotel room".
Wow. We want to test this out because with the thousands of hotels we've visited, we've never actually forgotten we were in a hotel. We're wondering if this place doesn't have a little hint of voodoo magic to it:
I cannot fault this hotel it was about as perfect a hotel as I have ever stayed in. The staff were darling, the rooms were fabulous... It was just simply lovely.
Then again, we don't really believe in magic so after further research, we're going to credit wine or for some of the more flamboyant artists, perhaps other means that may help one to "forget" they're in a hotel room.
One night we had taken some wine to our room to drink & when we returned later we had been left some home made biscuits, a wine cooler & a mini bottle of the Miro aftershave.
Isn't this charming? This hotel is even helping these alcoholic artists, smell better after an intense night of wine-chugging and Guggenheim staring.

Indiana Pacers Equipment Manager Shows Off Balls At Michigan Hotel
Usually hotels get peeved when you steal their towels -- but management at The Townsend Hotel, in Birmingham, Mich, is fuming that a guest wasn't wearing a towel.
Joe Qatato, an equipment manager for the Indiana Pacers who lost the same night, was, errrr, handling his equipment, fully naked, in front of an upper-floor window on Tuesday, according to TheIndyChannel.com
Qatato is expected to appear at a Birmingham court to face a misdemeanor charge June 23.
