Beach Hotels are Rubbish for WiFi

If you think city-based hotels aimed at businessmen are bad for WiFi, imagine what the e-situation's like in a beach hotel aimed at sunbathers. One of our most frustrating WiFi experiences was at the beach-side Sofitel Thalassa in Corsica.
We can't remember the exact details, but it involved several different codes on printed-out bits of paper, a lot of money, a lot of time, a lot of frustration, and some rather childish logging on, logging off, logging on, logging off in an attempt to save pennies.

Sierra Suites Become Hotel Sierra

The Hotel Sierra is the re-branded and expanded name to the Sierra Suites brand from LodgeWorks. The first hotel to open under the new name is the Hotel Sierra Washington Dulles near the airport in Sterling, Va. The new 162-room property is the first hotel in line and next month another will open in Bellevue, Wash.
The early word from guests? Love the style and the free breakfast, but bummed there is not a work desk in the rooms.
Six existing Sierra Suites Hotels, as well as a recently acquired Regency Suites Hotel in Green Bay, Wis. and a Hallmark Suites Hotel in Rancho Cordova, California, will be refreshed and re-flagged as Hotel Sierra by the early 2008. And even more new and updated suites are on the horizon.
