The Battle for the Best Boutique Hotel in Lisbon takes place on the pretty Rua das Janelas Verdes - Green Windows Road. In the Blue Corner, York House, a swish boutique hotel in an old convent.

In the Red Corner, As Janelas Verdes, a 29-room nest for lovers and culture vultures. Neither are taking any prisoners.

It's a close thing, but our bets fall on As Janelas Verdes. It's a beautiful boutique hotel, more of a home than a hotel proper.
