Room with an Anti-View:: Hotel Mundial

Where: Praca Martim Moniz 2, Lisbon, Portugal, 1100-198

You know the scene. You open the door to your brand new hotel room, run over to the window, open the blinds and bam, you are hit with the anti-view. Maybe you are looking down a dirty alley, witnessing a drug deal, staring at an air shaft in the face, or seeing a brick wall. Whatever you are viewing it is not extremely pleasurable. This week's Anti-View comes from the Hotel Mundial in Lisbon. The hotel is a mid-range option near the old city center. The reviews on the place are so-so. Everyone raves about the location but there were some issues with staff and rooms and of course, this view.

Yet to be fair, this photo was taken in May 2001 so we're guessing the construction is probably done by now.
