The Hotel Concorde Berlin Wants You To Look Hawt

Berlin's Hotel Concorde has long tried to be hip with its accommodation packages, and each deal they come out with does seem to get better and better. Learning French in Berlin was a bit of a stretch; their Fall of the Wall deal was pretty good; but now comes the most sensible idea they've had so far: a Shop in the City package.
Being all very cosmopolitan and cool, yet not outrageously expensive, Berlin is an ideal place to go on a shopping splurge. The Hotel Concorde is also in the right part of Berlin for this, right on the Kurfürstendamm shopping street, and even through winter you'll be able to easily get around to all the best stores.
The Shop in the City package includes lots of shopping-related bonuses, like a 10% discount at KaDeWe (the largest department store in Europe and right next to the Mercedes Benz building), a €35 voucher for the Montblanc store, and 20% discount and a personal shopper appointment at department store Galeries Lafayette – and a bunch more. You also get a two-night stay for two people with buffet breakfast both mornings, all starting from $275 a night per room. Which is cheap enough that you'll still have some cash left over for all that shopping.

Concorde Berlin Has Second Best Fall of the Wall Package

So it's been twenty years since the Berlin wall came down, and that's as good a reason as any to visit one of our all-time favorite cities, Berlin. To celebrate the anniversary of the Fall of the Wall, the Hotel Concorde Berlin has got an "Ich bin ein Berliner" package going through to December 28.
If you decide to be a Berliner for a couple of days, you can get two nights' accommodation, buffet breakfast, one dinner, plus the authentic Berlin part: a Palm guide, Berlin Wall map and a private guided tour in a Trabbi those old east German cars which somehow haven't fallen apart yet.
The deal starts at around $370 per person based on double occupancy and the Concorde is said to have some of the biggest rooms in the city. Oh, and this deal is a whole lot more logical than the time the Concorde decided to throw French lessons into their accommodation deals; but it's not the best Berlin Wall deal we've come across; remember the Ritz Carlton's Remember the Wall deal which even includes an actual chunk of the wall? Much cooler.

Now The Germans Want You To Learn French

We got it when Berlitz wanted to team up with a hotel to teach us French in Montreal. But going to Germany to learn French? There's something missing in the logic there.
Let's give them the benefit of the doubt, assume they've done some market research and discovered there are travelers who want to stay in Berlin but learn French.
If you belong to that particular market segment then you need to know that the deal is at the Hotel Concorde, a five-star hotel which does, at least, belong to a Paris-based group of hotels, giving the whole French speaking thing just a scrap of credibility.
