We are suckers for a room with a killer view.  We find that we are even more likely to forgive some minor hotel inconveniences if we can stare out the window at something pretty--yeah we are that shallow. Let's help out our fellow hotel mavens by uploading rooms with killer views to the HotelChatter/Flickr photo pool, or by sending the photo along to us. We will feature our favorites in this space from time to time. Remember to tell us the name of the hotel and the room number of the hot view.

Vienna is an artsy city -- and, above all, a city of music -- so we figure a hotel that can offer this view over the beautiful Vienna State Opera House is right on the money.

The view is actually from the balcony of a penthouse suite at Westin's Bristol Hotel. Obviously the location is central, on the ring roads that circle central Vienna, and perfect if you pop out for a night at the opera. The rooms also seem to fit the mood, and the penthouse suites have special star-shaped ceilings which definitely intrigue us.

As you'd expect, it's not exactly cheap to sleep right next door to the opera house. They offer a "Taste of Luxury" deal with a 3-night minimum, and a fourth night free, for €308 (US$450) a night, including a good Austrian buffet breakfast. The penthouse view over the opera house is, of course, a few euro more.
