Hotel rooms booked for an hour in the middle of the day smack of sleaze, not to mention lots of money. But who needs hotel rooms when you can grab a pod hotel.

Metro Naps, which launched its first location in the Empire State Building in 2004, offers said pod hotels. These "midday rest facilities" allow burned out workers to relax and rejuvenate. The pod-shaped chair allows its guests a semi-private environment, without MRI-style claustrophobia. The chairs have built in vibration alarm clocks to make sure you don't oversleep. Lotion and scented hand towels are provided on your waking. Hmm, sounds like a civilized Twelve Monkeys doesn't it?

You can find these pods at Vancouver International Airport, and soon on Wall Street in NYC. Metro Naps is looking to franchise in large cities, airports, and major corporations.

Appointments last about 25 minutes, and cost $14.
