The Mark Maintains Its Baller Rep With Bergdorf Collab

We’ve become accustomed to NYC's The Mark hotel going above and beyond when it comes to offering deluxe amenities to its guests, whether that be their Airport Concierge service or even loaning out fab MacLaren strollers so you don’t have to lug your own.
Now they’ve taken it a step further. We’ll preface this by saying since we’ve introduced our Fantasy Friday section, we realize there’s a whole lotta travelers out there with deep pockets and a love for special service. We’re trying to get there. Lord knows, we are.
So, that’s why we can now appreciate The Mark’s new collaboration with Bergdorf Goodman. The program is designed for the traveler with luggage mishaps (stop checking bags, people!) or in need for a last minute outfit for an event (example--we needed a ballgown in the 11th hour while at another hotel and had to fend for ourselves).

Skip Security Lines Using the Mark Hotel's Airport Concierge

Tired of waiting in line at the airport, en route to your hotel?
Good thing the folks at The Mark have taken the initiative to start providing a dedicated airport concierge to help guests navigate the unsavory experience of landing in—and departing from—JFK, La Guardia and Newark.
From the moment they arrive, guests will be greeted at the gate, escorted through immigration, assisted with luggage, and whisked off to a waiting car. Not bad! Kind of makes us think of the way celebs get to travel, minus all the paparazzi.
Though if you assumed the VIP service came gratis, think again. The hotel is currently charging $400 per couple, though the good news is you don't need to go crazy planning ahead. If the need arises, simply call the hotel on the day of your flight, and they'll arrange for an airport concierge to be there waiting.

The Mark Hotel Gets Jurrasic With New In-Room Perfume
Stay in a room as pretty as this one at The Mark in New York, and you expect a certain standard of beauty. One that extends to your sense of smell. And now, when you pay your $550 a night to stay at The Mark, your nose will also be taken into consideration, thanks to a partnership between the hotel and luxury perfume house Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle.
It's nothing but the finest at The Mark—Jean Georges is in the kitchen, and Jurrasic Park... er, Flower is in the air. That's the name of the scent—Jurrasic Flower—that has been custom created for The Mark in a room spray form. Jurrasic Flower-scented candles will also be available for purchase in every room and suite, as will bottles of unisex scent Bigarade Concentrate. (Apparently it smells fresh, with hints of bitter orange.)

The Mark Hotel is Open Again, and Flaunting a Facelift

Keeping up with the Joneses is a full-time job on the Upper East Side, and hotels are no different. We’ve already told you how much we loved the pretty new look at The Surrey, and now another tony Upper East Side hotel is showing off its new look. After a $150-million makeover The Mark has re-opened—with rates that aren’t quite as ridiculous as we expected.
Of course you can easily spend $1,000 a night here, but that won’t be the starting rate. This Friday night, you can book a courtyard room, the lowest category, for $495, and rooms start at $550 on Valentine’s Day weekend.

The Plaza Hotel Won't Be the Only Hotel in Town with $1,000 a Night Room Rates
Just when you thought Manhattan couldn't afford any more luxury hotel room rates, comes the summer re-opening of the Mark Hotel , a 5-star hybrid hotel residence with 118 suites and 42 co-op apartments.
In its former life, the hotel was always a favorite with elite travelers who cherished its tony Upper East side location and the staff's devotion to guest needs and desire for privacy
In its 21st Century reincarnation, it won't disappoint them. Renowned French designer Jacque Granger has combined old world charm with a contemporary look and feel, giving new life to the property as a "Grand Hotel" with custom furnishings and fabrics, coffered ceilings and white oak floors.
The fabled Saint Ambroeus restaurant has moved in with a branch for all day gourmet dining and afternoon tea, Bar Mark will be pouring signature cocktails, and pampering will be provided by Frederic Fekkai's Salon Mark.
Residents and guests alike share the grand entrance of a large, seductive lobby, Wi-Fi, 24-hour international Concierge staff, a curated DVD library, business center, fitness center, childcare, petcare, and limousine and airplane charter services.
Of course, you get what you pay for in New York City. Room rates start at $1,000.
