Barcelona Hotel Scene :: The ME Hotel Celebrates Opening with Fall Out Boy
This week we're taking a look at what's going on in Barcelona. We actually spent some time there a few weeks ago so we'll be dropping our own hotel reviews as well as news on the Barcelona Hotel Scene in general. Any questions? Send it our way.

ME Hotels which has a few popular properties in Cabo, Mexico and Madrid has opened their fourth hotel, this time in Barcelona.
The ME Barcelona hotel hosted a grand-opening party on October 9th which featured a performance by Fall Out Boy whose guitarist Pete Wentz opened an outpost of his Angels & Kings bar on the hotel's sixth floor.
The hotel is located on Diagonal Alley in the city's modern 22@ district and the hotel's building is actually 30 stories tall. So it's quite a different stay than the swank old guard hotels of the Eixample district.
Designed by renowned French architect Dominique Perrault, the 30-story building features 259 rooms and suites, all with magnificent views of either the mountains of Barcelona or the Mediterranean. The lobby is a modern and dramatic, but inviting space, filled with lively world music, local art and a fresh scent developed exclusively for ME Barcelona.

Hotel Arts Hot Concierges Will Do Anything

Ok, we admit it, we are addicted to Google Earth. This time we present you with a god like view of the famed Hotel Arts Barcelona.
If you are a long time HotelChatter reader you might remember that this hotel sells hot concierges to its guest. Alas, the hot concierges are not viewable via satellite photography...at least not yet.
The hotel with the gorgeous staff does seem on a roll of late, one recent guest notes:
The designation of 4/5 star hotels in Barcelona can be deceiving but The Arts is 6 stars. The personal attention, especially if your room includes the Club floor, is outstanding. The staff will do anything to please you.
Anything. You hear that?
Here is the Hotel Arts from above for your immediate viewing pleasure.

Hotel Arts Offers Hot Concierges

We all know Hotel Arts is one of the top rated hotels in Barcelona. However, we recently heard this place lacks a traditional concierge service.
Oh, don't worry, the Arts goes a step further. For over 300 a day you can choose a companion from a team of five well connected 'cool hunters' who claim to be experts in fashion, art, food, and partying.
We know, you superficial jerks are wondering what your new Spanish best friend will look like, so, omniscient recent guest, please share your knowledge:
You'll feel like a Prince/Princess during your stay, that's for sure. One last note for the ladies: the male staff are gorgeous!!! And for the men: well yeah the female staff are pretty too..so relax!!!

Hotel Arts Barcelona Summer Special
Again, the Euro / dollar relationship is not in our favor but somehow summer trips to Europe still beckon.
However, The Hotel Arts Barcelona is offering a summer getaway special from July 16th through September 8th starting at 290 euros for a Deluxe room. Ok ok, 300 euros doesn't sound all that much like a deal but check out this place's website and know you are getting a deal for quite the spot.
Pay close attention to the pool (pictured to the right) as it has one of the best locations and views of the Barcelona coastline. The Hotel itself is a five star accommodation with a casino directly attached and a stellar workout facility.
Hey, even if you go for one night it'd be worth it just try and find some cheap paella down the beach for dinner!
