It's a Christmas Miracle: 'Jersey Shore' Gang Denied at W Hoboken

The Jersey Shore reality show on MTV is the show you just can't bring yourself to look away from. Being from New Jersey, we initially refused to watch the show (especially since most of these folks aren't even from NJ) but one night when we consumed enough liquid courage to observe guidos in their summertime habitat, we found the show enthralling. But also confusing.

Namely, our questions center around hair: What is up with Snooki's hair poof? How come no one tells Pauly D his hair looks weird? Why does Sammi take our her hair extensions while fighting with Ronnie? What is that thing hanging from JWOWW's hair? And lastly, how old is The Situation? He looks like the old man in the club here.

The W Hotel Hoboken Has a Stalker

The W Hotel Hoboken has a stalker. And his name is Andrew Calvo who runs the Passion of a Zealot blog. Andrew emailed us to let us know that he's been keeping very detailed tabs on the progress of the W Hoboken as well as the W Wall Street. That's because according to his "About Me" profile he's a "25 year old Commercial Real Estate Advisor" with a passion for hotels. $&#*@! 25? God, we're starting to feel old.

His blog is very new--only five entries so far--but his post on these new W hotels involves a lot of praise for Starwood, W, Barry Sternlicht and the like, which kinda makes us suspicious but then again, we spend all of our days writing about hotels, so are we really one to judge? Oh wait, he says it's his goal to work for Barry one day. Ok now we get it.

Anyways, Andrew definitely has the most photos on either W hotel and for that we are grateful. Also our fave quote from Andrew comes from his Facebook gallery of the W Hoboken Hotel (membership not required):

if the w hotel was a woman, she'd have a restraining order on me. ive been stalking the w hotel in hoboken since late 2005.. its finally being built!

Indeed, Andrew confesses to making monthly trips to visit the building and then he cruises through the Holland Tunnel to check out the W Wall Street. (For those pictures, click here.) Another stalker note: He titled the photo albums "My baby is growing up" and "My other baby is being born!" Wow, that is some...um...dedication.
