Thomas Keller's Bar Bouchon Now Open in Back of Montage Beverly Hills

The restaurants in the Montage Beverly Hills are not too shabby but in the hotel's backyard, two restaurants from revered chef Thomas Keller have opened--Bouchon and the more casual brasserie, Bar Bouchon, making them the place to dine when staying in Beverly Hills.

While the Bouchon restaurant has been open for nearly a month, we hit up Bar Bouchon on Saturday for its very first lunch service. The menu offers mostly small plates at significant prices ($11 and up) and if you're looking for basic comfort food, you might be disappointed. But hello, this is Bouchon after all.

With our dining partner, we ordered two of the specials which were a quiche with leeks and a "flavorful" roquefort cheese and a tuna nicoise sandwich topped with shaved radishes, olives, lemon and eggs. Both were, as expected, scrumpdillyumptious. (What? You don't use that word to describe good food?)

Thomas Keller to Open The Aloysius Inn Across From French Laundry

Foodies and lovers of Thomas Keller's culinary skills rejoice!

A luxury hotel across the street from Keller's French Laundry restaurant has been approved by the city of Yountville, Calif., reports Eater SF. The inn is a Keller project and would be run in conjunction with the foodie mecca. From the Napa Valley Address:

The general look of the new inn will be flat roofed buildings with a minimalist, geometric form, built of simple, humble materials said John Frame, the architect. The inn's name was originally submitted as the Aloysius Inn and should break ground next spring.

The inn will have only 20 rooms and a dining/lounge area, although no details are out on that yet. Keller will also have some sort of burger stand opening in Yountville sometime soon so it's safe to say that Yountville can also be known as Kellerville.

Until all these things open however, you will have to settle for just a dinner at French Laundry. Unless you have a Bucket List or just loads of money, then consider the Poetry Inn's birthday bash cooked by Keller himself.

To Die For Foodie Package: The Poetry Inn's Ultimate Birthday Bash with Thomas Keller

Picture this, you and 9 others, be it 5 couples or 10 close friends, (it's a big modern world, we know, we're with you,) arrive at the drippingly luxurious and refined Poetry Inn located on a vineyard hillside just outside downtown Yountville in Napa Valley.

Everyone checks in to their rooms and you all meet on a balcony overlooking the sprawling valley floor and Mayacamus Mountains to the west. It's cooling down to 65 degrees as the amber sun sets and a light breeze blows through your hair.

You: "It's lovely having you all here on this important day."
Friend 1: "I just want you to know that 40 is totally the new HOLY BALONEY IS THAT THOMAS KELLER!?!?"
You: "Oh yeah, he's cooking dinner for us tonight, cool huh?"
Friend 2: "We're going to one of his restaurants!? You little sneak."
You: "Not quite, he and his French Laundry staff are cooking for us here at the Inn, a private dinner."
Friends 1 and 2:OMFG. For realz?
