Lo From 'The Hills' Reviews Hotels. Who Knew?
Um, so, many people weren't really aware of this, but Season Five of The Hills (yes, season FIVE) kicked off earlier this month and its stars have been doing many a promotional interview lately. We were reading a E! Q&A with one of the least annoying characters on the show, Lauren's BFF Lo Bosworth, who caught our attention when she mentioned one of her "other" jobs: writing "a twice-monthly blog for Pocket Change LA, where [she] reviews restaurants, hotels and spas."
We went and checked it out and, well, if she does indeed write these articles herself, we've gotta say: she's not so bad at all. Her blog, "The High Life With Lo," doesn't have too many entries yet but it's certainly better than that other celeb hotel reviewer lady whose newsletter has an unbearably goofy name.
So far, Lo has written about tea service at the Hotel Bel-Air (which she describes as "fun and lighthearted; the groups of ladies gathered here sing at their tables instead of discussing the woes of their Harry Winston-deprived condition in this economy"), her unwavering devotion to The Venetian ("an unbeatable constant in a city of clunkers"), her love affair with Teddy's at the Hollywood Roosevelt, and what she finds to be the "ultimate cool-kid hotel," the Parker Palm Springs.
Not a whole lot of groundbreaking insight here (and really, she doesn't write much criticism), but the girl's a good writer and certainly brings an arsenal of creative descriptive adjectives to her pieces. Check it all out here and check out our bro Jaunted's coverage of the whole Hills gang here.

The Hills Hotel :: Vegas Vacation at The Venetian

What, you forgot to tune in to The Hills last night because you thought it was airing on Monday? Apparently, last night's eppie was meant to be a special lead-in to the VMA's (which we're not even going to address right now), and luckily our DVR caught it -- but if yours didn't, check out our brother blog Jaunted's detailed recap here.
Alright so: the gang went to Vegas via the private jet of some dude that Lauren was dating but has since broken up with but in true Hills fashion they were all like "oh, whatever, let's take the plane anyway."
They jetted out to sin city and headed straight for The Venetian, the hotel lucky enough to have been selected to serve as the backdrop for the heartwrenching, sincere rollercoaster of drama that is Lauren C's life.

The Hills Hotel :: Whitney's "Working" Dinner at Sofitel LA
The Hills! A new season! Lauren, Heidi, Spencer, Audrina and Whitney are b-a-c-k and we couldn't be happier that our Monday evening guilty-pleasure has returned to us -- and we may have even felt so guilty that we DVRed CNN's entire coverage of the DNC to, er, alleviate some of the shame.
Natch, we get all excited whenever the gang hits up a Los Angeles hotel. You know, what Sex and the City did for NYC establishments, The Hills can do for LA hotspots. In our minds, at least. Anyone want to go halfsies on launching a The Hills bus tour for superfans? No?

Viva Vegas: Virgin Airlines Parties with 'The Hills' and More at Tryst
Skip on over to Jaunted's Virgin America coverage now.

Baby bro Jaunted was on hand to witness the Virgin America party at Tryst (our fave nightclub ever) inside The Wynn Las Vegas.
There to celebrate the airline's virgin flight from SFO to LVS was VA honcho Richard Branson, Carmen Electra (who looked sad), LC and Audrina from The Hills, Richard Branson and newlyweds Pamela Anderson and Rick "Scum" Salomon (her nickname for him, not ours.)
Also on hand were the Virgin America pixies who might be nice but they are pretty scary-looking in the pictures. Sadly, no one used the stripper pole except some poor dancers that VA hired and no one paid attention to. One day, that pole will be ours. Oh yes, it will be ours.
