For reasons we can't fully explain, we've decided to tune into the completely staged reality dating show that is "The Bachelor" on ABC. And we're obsessed. From the first rose ceremony shenanigans to the tense two-on-one dates and awkward make-out sessions, we love it all. We'll even watch it live, with commercials. But the show also has another important element we love--hotels. The Bachelor, Sean, has taken his hot body and so-so personality around the world as he tries to find a wife from Montana to Canada to St. Croix and now to the south of Thailand. Who will get the final rose? Who cares? We wanna know where they spent the night.
After an interesting time meeting families last week, Sean narrowed down the choices for his life partner to three women--Catherine, Ashlee and Lindsay. But as they say three's a crowd and Sean has to narrow down his selection even further. To make this tough
production call decision, Sean takes the girls to the south of Thailand, specifically to the Anantara Resort in Si Kao.
Much like the Buccaneer Resort in St. Croix, this Anantara bills itself as perfect for family vacations or honeymoons. There's 139 rooms, suites, pool suites and family rooms on the property so it's not a terribly big resort but there's tons of stuff to do, most of them involving water and sand as the resort sits on 15 kilometers of beach adjacent to the Had Chao Mai National Park. But The Bachelor had other plans around town.
The Bachelor, Sean, is taking his hot body and so-so personality around the world as he tries to find a wife. Each Tuesday, we'll be recapping the hotels Sean and the ladies stay at and the drama that ensues. We'll do our best not to make it all about Tierra.
After last week's four-hour, two-day "The Bachelor" viewing extravaganza, which took place at the Fairmont Lake Louise in Banff, Canada, we were so relieved to hear that Sean has finally decided that the six remaining ladies were the "six for him." But lest this turn into a show about sister wives,
the producers Sean has decided to whisk the girls off to the island of St. Croix to further determine who is the one he is going to spend the rest of his life with. Or at least the next few months trying to score trashy tabloid covers.
After arriving on the island by seaplane, Sean takes his harem to The Buccaneer Resort, a beachfront pink palace that is one of the island's longest-running resorts.
Since a lot of the scenes were shot in the hotel rooms, we're pretty sure the girls we're shacked up in the Ficus and the Frigate suites. Those specialty rooms, which are way more modern than the basic room categories, start at around $1,100 a night. But even if you don't stay in these rooms, you can still live it up "Bachelor"-style during your trip as the resort has put together their own "Bachelor" package.
It's been a wild and wacky first week of 2012 for celebrities staying at hotels. While we've chronicled some of the outlandish escapades, there's still a ton more we think you would enjoy reading about. Happy Friday!
· The Shelborne South Beach Lets Lebron James Eat Cake, Whatever Cake He Likes: Apparently, a Boca Raton baker's $3,000 cake that she whipped up for Miami Heat player, Lebron James, for his New Year's Eve party at the Shelborne Hotel was just not good enough. Even though the hotel, which just unveiled pretty new rooms, promised the baker publicity in exchange for free cake, once Lebron got a look at the thing, he demanded a different one. Sigh. Is there a hastag for Rich People Party Problems?
· Sofia Vergara Brings Lusty Nurse Fantasties to Life at The Bellagio: The Modern Family stunner was leaving the new Hyde Club at The Bellagio in Las Vegas at 3am when a young woman collapsed near her. Sofia ran to the woman, checked her pulse and remained by her side until real paramedics came. We wouldn't be surprised if people started passing out near Sofia more often.

Once again, the liquored up cast and the vodka-supplying crew of ABC's The Bachelor have flown off to a tropical island for some dates so the bachelor/wannabe actor, Ben Flajnik, can sweep the contending ladies off their feet. Or at least make out with a few of them before asking one of them for her hand in marriage a few days later. How romantic!
The Bachelor is filming at W Vieques. The are clearing out Living Room (lobby) for the Rose Ceremony tomorrow night. Guests will be hosted for cocktails on the beach at the Retreat – since they won’t be able to go in Living Room. Picture of the equipment attached. They were filming a helicopter scene…..it took off right over the hotel….

Yeah, we dig The Bachelor, but not because we're cool with one guy basking in the attention of a harem of women, all begging him to put a ring on it. No, we haz da luv because it’s unintentional travel eye-candy. The network thinks we're watching the cast, but really, we're peeping the background.
This season starring Bachelor Brad Womack is coming to an end and we love-love the location: South Africa. Last night's show andwe're toldthe March 14 finale has studly Brad and the last three ladies standing at two gorgeous properties—Lion Sands Private Game Reserve and the swank One & Only Cape Town.

A special Valentine's Day episode of The Bachelor, which of course aired last night, was filmed at the tony CuisinArt Resort on the Caribbean island of Anguilla. The hotel, a favorite of Michael Jordan, Derek Jeter, his girlfriend Minka Kelly and Oprah hosted Brad Womack, the easy-on-the-eyes love-seeking Bachelor, as well as six young ladies looking to be The One.
The two-hour long episode was filmed during the resort's annual closedown last year, so the man had the whole resort to himself to individually court each gal. It's no wonder he didn't pick a woman the last go-round in 2007. And while we think he was kind of a jerk to leave the women of that season hanging, with perks like this we'd be hesitant to get locked down too. Anyway, CuisinArt just introduced six private three-and five-bedroom beachfront and garden view villas, where the group stayed. We just happen to be here and thought we'd give you a look inside their very swank rooms.
