Will Ferrell Needs Some Help with His Art Basel Hotel Stay
Funnyman Will Ferrell did what a lot of us do when trying to find a good hotel---he asked a local. But it just so happened that his local friend was tennis camp Roger Federer.
Page Six reports that Ferrell chatted up Federer at the US Open last week about hotel rooms for Art Basel in Switzerland.
A witness said: “Will was telling Roger he went to Art Basel this summer and stayed at the Hilton by the train station. He said he was unimpressed with his room, and then asked Roger if he could get him an upgrade for next year.”

The Observer Goes Inside The Carlyle's Roger Federer Suite
Were you aware that The Carlyle has a Roger Federer Suite? Um, well, it does — and it's huge. And expensive. And the New York Observer got itself a hot little tour of the place and published pics of it here.
Up on the 16th floor of the luxe NY hotel lies a two-bedroom suite that costs $3,075 a night, and it has been where the ultra-hunky champ has called home while he's played in each U.S. Open since 2007 (we know he usually prefers to hit up the Four Seasons otherwise). We're talkin' RF monogrammed pillows, some pretty ridiculously opulent bathroom decor, an espresso machine, and even some leopard print rug-action in the master suite. We'll let you make the call between tacky and tasteful on this one — we're on the fence.

Dear Anna Wintour: Roger Federer is Staying at the Carlyle Hotel
But Anna...we have a feeling you already knew that. For Roger Federer fans who haven't been fortunate enough to get courtside seats at all of his matches or throw him a party at the Gramercy Park Hotel, the object of your affection is staying at the Carlyle Hotel on the Upper East Side.
For Four Seasons employees this is quite a shock. We hear that Swiss tennis god Roger always stays at Four Seasons but this time people kept recommending the Carlton (maybe Anna had a hand in this too?) So he switched his reservation and is staying on the same floor as the hotel's general manager, James McBride, who has an apartment there. Now, Anna knows where to get an extra key.
