Matt Damon and His Wife Like The Marcel Hotel Just as Much as We Do

Just last month, we discovered a delightful little gem in the Big Apple--The Marcel Hotel. Sure, the rooms were small but they were comfortable, well-designed and stocked with great amenities. The hotel's location in Gramercy also allowed us to be close to both the Gramercy Park Hotel for dinner and JFK for an early morning flight out.

But best of all, we nabbed that room for just $179 a night on Bookit.com, at a time when all other respectable hotels in Manhattan were starting at $300.

And now it looks like we're not the only ones who are fans of The Marcel. Page Six reports that Matt Damon and his wife were spotted making out while waiting on line for the bathroom at the hotel's Polar Lounge. When that was over, they ended up dancing with "The Office's" John Krasinski and his fiancee, actress Emily Blunt.

Matt Damon Uses Fairly Unoriginal Fake Name at London Hotel

Matt Damon might want to do some brainstorming about the fake names he uses when he checks into hotels.

Some gossip columnist in the UK is reporting that Damon checked into the May Fair Hotel under the name, Arthur Ripley. As in The Talented Mr. Ripley. Granted the character's name is Tom Ripley. But still, a little too close to home. And FYI: Arthur Ripley is a dead screenwriter. Also:

Matt told me in the hotel's cocktail bar: "I stay in a different hotel weekly when filming so that I don't get bored.

Let's hope he's not using other obvious names like Will Hunting or Jason Bourne in those places. We have a better, not-so-obvious one: Matt Silverman.

Sarah Silverman and Matt Damon Do It at the Delano Hotel

And by do it we mean perform this outrageously funny song for Jimmy Kimmel's five-year anniversary of his show, "Late Night with Jimmy Kimmel."

In it, Sarah confesses that she's F--ing Matt Damon and Matt's there to back her up on that. The song's title is "I'm F--ing Matt Damon" and it's a classic. Our favorite line?

On the bed, on the floor, on a towel by the door, in the tub, in the car, up against the mini-bar.

The entire ditty was filmed at the Delano Hotel in South Beach and Sarah and Matt get it on in all parts of the hotel from their suite to the pool (that's the breakdown dance scene) to the lobby to the Rose Bar where they crawl along the length of the bar.

This is some good press for the Delano because now we know it's not all artsy fartsy types that hit up this place. We might actually breathe a little easier next time we step into this place. Or else we'll just be thinking of F--ing Matt Damon.
