This shot was taken from the rooftop of the Hotel Molitor, an M Gallery Hotel in Paris's chic 16th arrondissement, often considered the Upper East Side of Paris.
The rooftop is a favorite spot for locals, thanks to its Le Toit-Terrasse bar and restaurant which also has a clear view of the Tour Eiffel and the Stade Jean-Bouin, home to the French rugby club. But if you're a guest at the hotel, not only can you dine on the rooftop you can also indulge in some night swimming at the hotel's restored 1930s outdoor swimming pool. Except in Paris, the sun doesn't start to set until around 9:30pm so there's plenty of natural light to take in as well. In the winter months, the hotel has an indoor pool for guests to use too.
Rates at the Molitor start from 250 Euros a night.

As you know, we like a good cocktail over here at HotelChatter so we’re always on the lookout for the best bevvie to order when we’re hoteling on the road.
Located right in the heart of things, Mama Shelter Bordeaux’s bar is one huge space resembling the basement rec room in your parent’s house when you were growing up but with more technology lying about. Wooden tables and chairs, wooden posts with screens attached to some of them to show off your digital pics, and a long wooden bar the size of Baja California, take up most of the space. The boho crowd is young-ish and, like the bartenders, ready to have fun. There’s a DJ on hand every Friday and Saturday night.
We had the Mama Tai for €14 ($18), which included rum, Cointreau, lime juice, sirop d’orgeat, and had a luscious black cherry garnish. Now, you can sip on that cocktail in the newly-opened rooftop bar/restaurant.
With all of the sleek and modern design we've seen in hotels lately, there are few places that have us longing for the romance of vintage travel from the days of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. Luckily, M Gallery's Hotel Muse hits the spot.
The memorable hotel brings back the mystery of retro travel and plops it right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, where it's not uncommon to see buildings from yesteryear neighboring towers from tommorow-land. The hotel is a little different in that it's housed in a new building made to look vintage, with a whole lot of turn-of-the-century flair.
Walking into the lobby were were greeted by dark wood panels, sexy lighting and iron work that would make a Paris Metro stop blush. The theme doesn't stop in the elevator. It extends onto the floor and into the room, where we felt like we stepped back to a time when alcohol was illegal and people dressed up to fly the friendly skies.

After Accor Hotels acquired quite a large portfolio in Australia, we began to see the brand domination in the country. Since then, they've become the largest international hotel chain in Oz and now they're adding M Gallery's Reef House Palm Cove to their list of hotel havens.
Originally built as a family residence in 1958, the 69-room beach resort overlooks the Coral Sea. It will be brands sixth Australian property located in the tranquil, yet glamorous town of Palm Cove, about 30 minutes north of Cairns. A palm lined esplanade not only gives the town its namesake, but denotes your arrival to, what many consider, Eden.
Settle in and get ready to be pampered. The beach over the road provides a good view and the tropical setting is completed while sipping the complimentary, house-made 'Brigadier's Punch' under candlelight on the Plantation-style front porch. Along with the happy hour, guest rooms include a tropical breakfast to start your day right.

We get it, celebrities love to show off and get the cream of the crop when they travel by booking the suites of the world's best hotels. Melbourne's The Como is no different when it comes to attracting the glamour of stars from the silver screen to the soccer field to the stage.
The Como, in one of Melbourne's most prestigious areas, South Yarra, has made a name for itself for the past 22 years by consistently offering high-end accommodations and impeccable service. Now they've revamped three super luxurious suites, that's seen the likes of David Beckham, Kylie Minogue and Paris Hilton.
The recently rebranded M Gallery Hotel offers plenty of artist designed rooms with all the bells and whistles, but these suites are truly where it's at.

Housed in a former billiard house and named after the champion Aussie player, William Lindrum, the hotel keeps its heritage with a back bar and pool room outfitted with an original table from the Lindrum days. The entire property has been restored to its former glory when the movers and shakers of Melbourne visited the building to relax and unwind with a game of snooker.
New hotels abound in Australia's largest city. Sydney has seen an influx of new hotels, spruced-up stand-bys and complete rebrandings. M Gallery has officially thrown their Akubra hat in the ring with their newest property, the Harbour Rocks Hotel.
Sitting on the grounds of the city's very first hospital, the complete renovation has kept a good portion of the past while still creating a comfortable modern living space. Melding old and new by using the original sandstone facade and the adjacent workers cottages to keep with the look and feel of the neighborhood that's dripping with historical relevance. With plenty of vintage buildings housing boutiques, restaurants and cafes, the new hotel is a perfect fit.
All 59 guestrooms offer a contemporary and comfortable style, yet still incorporate the history of the building with exposed brick and vintage-style windows. Because the hotel is in one of the hottest tourist spots in Sydney, it's just a hop, skip or jump away to the Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay. Location is key for this place.

A few weeks ago, we told you about the opening of the St. Ermin's Hotelin London that we attended and showed you what our room looked like. Apologies for the lag time, but here's a fun little piece of hotel history.
Approaching St. Ermin's, the first thing you will notice is the impressive courtyard outside the main entrance, flanked on three sides by the hotel. Restoring the courtyard to its original "grandeur" was an important element of the overall renovation.
Then upon walking into the lobby, you step onto mosaic floors, turning left to find reception in the corner. The hotel's public spaces, predominantly the lobby and ballroom, feature extensive white plasterwork, with everything from flowers to a sudden procession of wild animals (up the lobby staircase, to the right in the corner if you want to find them).
