Chateau Marmont Temporarily Becomes Katy Perry's and John Mayer's Wonderland
The vine-covered terraces of LA's most legendary celebrity-frequented hotel proved the perfect spot for Katy Perry to do a little canoodling with newfound beau, a fellow pop singer of some note.
And while the hotel has seen plenty of celebs flowing in and out since day one (it's even rumored to be getting its own Aaron Sorkin-produced HBO series), on Wednesday night, photographers stationed outside got money shots of Perry sheepishly trying to exit the hotel unnoticed.
Which you obviously can't do at the Chateau Marmont. And which Katy Perry especially can't do when she's riding in the passenger seat of John Mayer's car.

Celebrating New Year's Eve as a newly single man, Russell Brand wasn't exactly his usual cheery self as he struggled to come to terms with his divorce, alone in London. The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star attempted to get as far away as possible from ex-wife Katy Perry—over 5,000 miles, to be exact—who meanwhile was partying it up at Soho House in West Hollywood.
According to The Mirror, Russell moped around The Savoy, ordering room service (meal for one), offsetting it with some time at the gym, and generally spreading his misery around the place like a bad smell. When one guest went up to him to wish him a happy New Year, Brand responded: "Here's hoping it gets happier." Or should we call him Eeyore.

Free Hotel Wifi and Breakfast Are a Teenage Dream for Katy Perry
While Katy Perry prepares for the U.S. leg of her California Dreams tour, which kicks off June 7 in Atlanta, hotels will have to do their own prepping for the California gurl if they want the singer to stay the night.
According to the Smoking Gun, Perry has a list of demands for hotels that put up her and her entourage. The most interesting among the bunch is that free hotel WiFi—even celebs refuse to pay for Internet access—and complimentary breakfasts must be included in the deal. She must love her hotel pancakes.

They've been married just over a week and there's already drama for Mr. and Mrs. Brand. Not in their marriage, mind you--no, it's hotel-related drama that's been following Katy Perry and Russell Brand ever since they tied the knot at India's Aman-I-Khas Resort.
First came the news that managers at the resort were being charged with violating noise laws during the wedding. While Perry and Brand would not be charged, a laywer tells the New York Post that the hotel management could face a fine or a few days in jail. (Bet they won't forget this California Gurl any time soon. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!)

Katy Perry and Russell Brand to 'Taj' the Knot in India
If all goes well for Katy Perry and Russell Brand, they will be living out a full-time teenage dream as husband and wife by the end of this month.
Reports say the duo have selected the Taj Rambagh Palace in Jaipur to be the site of their Hindu nuptial ceremony, after a three-day celebration on the edge of a tiger wilderness preserve at Aman-i-Khas. The Taj Hotel is actually the place where they got engaged last year.
But now, The Daily Mail has some pretty specific detes about the wedding ceremony:
The heritage palace was home to Indian royalty and is spread over 47 acres of tranquil, landscaped gardens. Funny man Brand is expected to ride through the palace gates on a lavishly decorated horse, escorted by camels and elephants.
Folk dancers are expected to welcome the couple with a traditional dance and fireworks. From here, Brand and Perry will travel in a horse driven cart to the main garden where a Hindu ceremony will be conducted in front of a small fire.

From Tea Time in London to Strippers in Vegas, Katy Perry Gets Around
On this Monday morning, we know there is nothing more important than updating you on the latest hotel adventures of Katy Perry. Last time we saw the pop singer, she was sipping on tea at the Claridge's Hotel in London.
Now we're happy to say that after that little scuffle between her fiancee, Russell Brand, and a paparazzo at LAX, Miz Perry made it safely to Vegas where she had bachelorette party thrown by none other than Rihanna (Apparently, she's a bridesmaid in the Brand/Perry nuptials.)
The girls made quite a nice tour of Las Vegas, arriving first to the Hard Rock Hotel for some swim fun and cabana time(Katy wore a veil attached to the bottom back of her bikini.) Sources inside the Hard Rock tell us:
Later, they caught a showing of the Cirque du Soleil show, KA at the MGM Grand but the "California Gurl" didn't stop there.

Where Katy Perry Had Tea in London
(Confession: We considered titling this post, THIS IS WHAT KATY PERRY ATE YESTERDAY.)
We told you that the stars aligned yesterday when we showed up at The Claridge's Hotel in London for a 3:30pm tea date only to find Katy Perry doing the same thing with her friends. Unfortunately, we weren't able to snap a picture of her without being too fangurl obvious but we were able to snap some lovely shots of the tea service as well as capture some video of the room.
Tea time at Claridge's is delightful with over 30 teas offered and served with delicious finger sandwiches (egg, salmon, cucumber, chicken) and pastries and scones (actually, the scones were a bit dry.) But it is by no means formal. People were wearing jeans, summer dresses and open-toed shoes (ourselves included.) To be honest, we were relieved about the smart casual dress code since well, you know, we forgot our white gloves at home.

Katy Perry Ditched the Skin Tight Jeans for a Tea Dream at Claridge's
Earlier today we mentioned how we were going to do a tea date at Claridge's in London to see if the hotel really does measure up to all the luxury it eschews in the Maybourne Hotel Group magazine. Well, we'll have more on that later because nothing is more important than telling you we were there while Katy Perry was there having tea with three friends.
We had a feeling a huge celeb was on the property when we rolled up and spied an uncomfortably large crowd of paparazzi out front. But we had no idea who it could be until we put our name in for tea and just beyond the maitre d's stand was the teenage dream herself, Miz Katy Perry.
She was in full hair and makeup and a stylishly retro blue dress with white polka dots. Apparently, hotel staffers were much relieved to see her in this outfit compared to the one the day before which involved a see-through skirt. (Don't worry, she was wearing knickers.)

Perhaps the only way to really enjoy The Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas without worrying about being nickel and dimed for everything is to be Katy Perry (or any of the other pop sensations that have performed at the resort this summer.)
The "California Gurls" singer/problem speller splashed around the water park with her entourage the day after performing to a sold-out crowd at the hotel's Grand Ballroom, according to the Daily Mail.
The Aquaventure water park at Atlantis is typically populated with children but there is a lot going on there--11 pools, water slides, (fake) river rides and even rock-climbing. And this is all included in your room rate. But about that room rate....

It's the Summer of Celebs in the City of Light! In this episode, we have "California Gurl" Katy Perry arriving at the The Plaza Athenee. X17 Online reports that later on Katy tweeted:
Drank Jean Paul Gaultier water & used pink rose scented bathroom tissue! Oh frenchies, you are TRES CHIC!
Now we're dying to know if this was in the bathroom at the Plaza Athenee or not. If so, we'll be making a pit stop in their bathrooms next trip to Paris.

Katy Perry Performing at Maritime Hotel's Hiro Ballroom Tonight
An excuse to look your prettiest! Tonight is Paper Magazine's Beautiful People Party, and cover girl Katy Perry will be performing along with DJ Cassidy and DJ Jon Jon Battles at the Maritime Hotel's Hiro Ballroom.
Thankfully, this year's party will be free of The Misshapes and Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson. The painfully hip Paper Magazine is co-hosting with H&M so cross your fingers that this party will dole out the gift bags -- they have been scarce "in these recessionary times."
Either way, the celebrity attendance at the Maritime and the Bowery must be keeping Sean MacPherson comforted in the midst of unfolding drama at his Jane Hotel.
