Hyatt 48Lex and Its In-Room Dishwashers are Now Taking Rezzies for July 18

It looks like Hyatt's newest hotel in NYC, the unoriginally named Hyatt 48Lex, will be opening even earlier than August. And you better pack your finest china! (Ok, not really)

A tipster tells us the hotel is now taking reservations for July 18 and later. We found rates that night for $289 for a studio queen. That's actually about $90 less than the rate we last found for the hotel. Not bad!

The guest rooms are looking kind of Andazy with a mix of whites and greys, wood platform beds and floor to ceiling windows. They will also come with fully-stocked "butler's pantries" with a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, sink and even a dishwasher. Yes, even the studio queens which start at 370-sq.ft. will somehow manage to fit a dishwasher.

It Might Be a Lonely Summer on the Rooftop at the Manchester Hyatt in San Diego

The Manchester Hyatt in San Diego is being boycotted by gay rights groups because its owner Doug Manchester gave $150,000 to Proposition 8, a California state measure to ban gay marriage.

While the Hyatt Corporate umbrella which just manages the hotel is not being targeted, boycotters (which include union leaders as the hotel is not unionized) are urging the public to avoid staying at the Manchester San Diego. And it won't be pretty.
