The W Dallas is Krawling with Kardashians
The Gansevoort Park was so Kim's last failed marriage ago! The new place to find your fave Kardashians is now the W Dallas Hotel & Residences where Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are renting a two-bedroom penthouse condo.
Naturally, where there's one Kardashian, there's always at least a couple of more visiting. That's what happened last week when Khloe was visited by Kim, Kourtney and mom Kris. Later on, brother, Krobert, er, we mean, Robert arrived and the fam headed to watch Lamar play for his new team, the Dallas Mavericks.
Since there probably wasn't enough room for the rest of the Kardashians in Khloe and Lamar's apartment, we're gonna go ahead and presume they grifted booked the best suite in the hotel which is the E-WOW Suite which includes 1,323 square feet of space on the 15th floor, a master bedroom and bath, a dining table for six, a wet bar, kitchen, living room and a 60" plasma screen TV, good for watching the Kourtney and Kim Take New York marathons on E!

Omni Dallas: It's Definitely Opening, And It's Definitely Got An Infinity Pool
Omni Dallas, which is set to open on 11/11/11, will include an infinity pool
Whoever said 11/11/11 would mark a pivotal world-changing event must have been cc'd on development memos issued from Omni Hotels' corporate office. That is to say, Omni's latest creation, Omni Dallas, a 1,001-room convention hotel on South Lamar St, will be opening on the portentous date—and with $111 rates, no less.
As part of the "Definitely Dallas" package (this name is putting dirty thoughts into our head), guests who book rooms through December 30, 2011 will receive $111 deluxe guest rooms. Inside the rooms, you'll find a 111-inch flat-screen TV; and on top of the beds, you'll rest your head on 111 pillows. And in the bathroom....OK, we're just kidding. In fact, the bathrooms do come with mirror TVs (which we remain undecided over), and the rooms all feature pieces by local artists.

The Curious Case of Nicki Minaj and the Suitcase at the Hotel Palomar Dallas
Rapper Barbie Nicki Minaj slayed us last year with her guest rap on the Kanye West song, "Monster" but it looks like she's been battling some of her own demons recently, namely her assistant.
TMZ reports that Safaree Samuels struck Minaj with a suitcase (ouch!) after arguing by the outdoor infinity pool at the Hotel Palomar Dallas.
According to the police report, Nicki followed Samuels up to the room they were sharing, to make sure he didn't take any of her stuff. Nicki was in the room looking into her suitcase, which had some of Samuels' belongings, when she says he "grabbed the suitcase and as he was picking it up, he shoved the suitcase across [Nicki's] chin and lower lip."

Omni to Do Dallas Again Nearly Two Months Ahead of Schedule
Don't Mess with Texas when it comes to opening hotels. The massive Omni Dallas Convention Center Hotel will open two months early on November 11. This will be the third Omni Hotel in the Dallas area but it will be the biggest with 1,001 guest rooms, including 67 luxury suites and three presidential suites.
The rooms will go big too, starting at around 400-sq.ft. and featuring authentic artwork, floor-to-ceiling windows, LCD TVs, TVs in the mirror and free WiFi, for members of Omni's Select Guest loyalty program.
The 11.11.11 opening day is not wishy-washy either, like so many other hotels, as the Omni is planning a large Veteran's Day event with the hotel's ribbon-cutting to happen right after. The hotel will then host a sales convention from Dallas-based Freeman November 13-15.
But once that all dies down, guests will finally be able to get into the rooms on November 16. Rooms start at $149 a night for a deluxe king. You can book via OmniHotels.com or Facebook. Yes, Facebook. Remember?

Super Bowl XLV Hotels Set to Party All Weekend
The game may not start until Sunday night, but Dallas-Ft. Worth-area hotels have already started their Super Bowl XLV parties, with the Bud Light Hotel (aka Aloft Dallas Downtown) leading the charge. Last night, The Fray and Lifehouse played the hotel's heated party tent. Tonight, it's the Playboy party with Snoop Dogg, Warren G and Flo Rida. Saturday's show features the unlikely combination of Ke$ha and Nelly.
Elsewhere, the "Leather & Laces" party will take over the Hotel ZaZa, with next door girls Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt hosting on Saturday night. And the Embassy Suites DFW Airport North is hosting a charity event Saturday night with Carmen Electra, Bill and Giuliana Rancic and Aubrey O'Day that they're ambitiously calling "The Best Party in Texas." Seems unlikely!

Where Can You Still Find Rooms for Super Bowl XLV Hotels in Arlington?

The game is almost upon us and rooms can still be had in the Dallas-Fort Worth area at sometimes surprisingly low rates for February 6. We scanned prices this morning with our custom hotel search tool, looking at those properties as close as possible to Cowboys Stadium that still had vacancies.
The SpringHill Suites Arlington, where rooms are big enough to have your friends crash, are selling for $518.
La Quinta Dallas-Arlington North is going for $549, which is probably the most we've ever seen a La Quinta charge.
The Hawthorn Suites DFW is a shade cheaper at $509.

NYLO Goes Back to Dallas for Thirds
It's been a long time since we've heard some expansion news from NYLO Hotels so we were uber-excited to hear that the company is finally opening up another new location. However, we're slightly bummed it's in the Dallas-Forth Worth area...again. (There's already NYLO Plano and NYLO Las Colinas).
Nevertheless, it's definitely their most exciting property yet.
The NYLO Dallas South Side will open just three blocks from the Dallas Convention Center and adjacent to the upcoming 1,000-room Omni Dallas Convention Center Hotel (the developer of this NYLO is also developing the Omni.)
The hotel will have five stories with a total of 76 rooms, a destination roof top bar and pool, a lobby bar and restaurant and fingers crossed, a LEED Silver Certification (helped along by NYLO's "Everything Green" eco-friendly practices policy.)

Where Green Bay and Pittsburgh Fans Get Still Get Rooms for Super Bowl XLV

The two teams for Super Bowl XLV have been set and the Green Bay Packers will be shacking up at the Omni Mandalay while the Pittsburgh Steelers will be shacking up at the Omni Fort Worth. But if you're a Packers or a Steelers fan, where do you stay?
Well, your best bet for finding hotels with availability is to start looking for a four-night stay from February 3-February 7 which is the minimum time frame most hotels in the area are asking. You may be able to finagle three nights or less at the budget brands but this city is filling up fast.
The Omni Dallas at Park West which had rooms open last week, is now sold-out. Checking on Expedia, however, we see that the The Admiral Hotel, is still open but has bumped its rate up to about $285 a night.

What Goes On Inside The Team Hotels During Super Bowl?
Who's gonna be spending a week at the Omni Hotel in Dallas?
Right now, as you read this, representatives from the four teams in contention for the Super Bowl--the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets, Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers--are on the ground in Dallas and guess what they are doing? Scoping out hotel rooms.
Of course, they don't have to book a hotel room like the rest of us do since the host hotels for Super Bowl XLV were decided upon a long time ago. But the reps are sizing up the hotels and making sure they are up to snuff for when their team (hopefully) arrives on January 31st.
And the Omni Forth Worth Hotel and the Omni Mandalay at Las Colinas are ready to handle whatever requests they have.
The Omni Forth Worth will be hosting the AFC Champion team (players, coaches, and their friends and families) along with some NFL sponsors in its 600+ rooms. The Omni Mandalay will be hosting the NFC Champion team in their 421 rooms.

Aloft Dallas to Turn into The Bud Light Hotel for Super Bowl XLV
By now you can probably tell we've gone a little gonzo over here for Super Bowl XLV but we just can't control ourselves, not especially after learning that the Aloft Dallas will turn itself into the BUD LIGHT HOTEL during Super Bowl weekend.
The 193-room Bud Light Hotel will feature a Texas-sized tent (132' x 230'), which will transform the hotel's parking lot into a premiere concert venue capable of hosting 3,500-plus guests (21 years of age and older). Officially opening on Thursday, February 3, the venue will feature a star-studded line-up of concerts and exclusive events, including the Playboy party on Friday, February 4.
The tent will also be a sort of "Around the World" party--you know, like the ones you used to have in your dorms except partiers can "visit" five cities where former and current Playboy Clubs exist--Las Vegas, Macau, London, South Beach and Cancun.
