As we know, the Standard has a way of bringing out the best and worst in people. In this case, it seems Beyonce had a rather positive reaction to the hotel's penthouse space during a recent photo shoot with Terry Richardson.

The iconic photographer, who was shooting her for a Harper's Bazaar cover story, captured the star in all her radiant glory—pink trench coat, sparkly dresses and all—including an equally magnificent backdrop of the Manhattan skyline. Imagine that. Her unborn baby hasn't even taken a breath of oxygen and already he or she has traveled to cooler places than us. Sigh.

Beyonce (And Her Bump) Do The Gansevoort Park

To start your week off right, here's a shot of one very pregnant pop star making her way out of a downtown NYC hotel that happens to be very popular with the celebrities. Beyonce, in town to promote her new fragrance, Beyonce Pulse, wore her golden hair back in a bun, along with some chunky gold hoop earrings and bright red lipstick. Not exactly another hotel fashion shoot, but she was certainly as ready for the cameras as they were for her.

They must be something doing something right at the Gansevoort Park to attract such a steady flow of high-profile guests. Just last month, it was Kim Kardashian who made headlines when she and hubby Kris Humphries moved into the hotel's $7000-a-night penthouse.

And one month earlier, we recognized that black-and-white checkered lobby in photos of Rihanna en route to her show in New Jersey. What next, a Lady Gaga jacuzzi meltdown?

Beyonce Upgrades Herself with a Fashion Shoot at The Ritz

Beyonce may be shacking up at Le Meurice's crazy-expensive $20,000 penthouse for a Paris vacay, but she keeps sneaking in work, first turning some another hotel suite into a studio, and now hitting the Hotel Ritz Paris for some modeling.

Bee was spotted on a balcony at the hotel as part of a photo shoot for an upcoming issue of Harper's Bazaar. As usual, she was looking fierce, dolled up in a halter top adorned with red flower petal-like ruffles and a black flowing see-through skirt over a black bodysuit.

Jay-Z and Beyonce Run the World From Atop Le Meurice

Beyonce and Jay-Z are living large at Hotel Le Meurice. The married couple are shacked up in a penthouse suite overlooking the Tuileries Garden for an eye-popping $20,000 a night. Beyonce better get on selling her new single, "Run the World (Girls)."

So what does $20,000 a night buy you? You get the two-story Belle Etoile suite with a private elevator, kitchen, glass-enclosed dining room and large private terrace at the beautiful Paris hotel. Le Meurice is one of Beyonce's faves, and it seems to be the hotel of choice for other hip-hop elite, with such fans as Eminem and Kanye West.

Celebs Spent Time Hotel Hopping For the Grammys Last Night

J-Hud gets warmed up at the Beverly Hilton before her Aretha tribute.

Last night's Grammys gave us some great performances—Lady Gaga—and some missteps—Xtina almost falling on her face. Of course, it also means there was tons of hotel action, since the music industry swarmed Los Angeles for the awards ceremony and the bashes that come along with it.

· Celebs came out for Clive Davis and the Recording Academy's Pre-Grammy Gala at the Beverly Hilton. Cee Lo Green—before donning his peacock suit—R. Kelly, Glee's Matthew Morrison and Jennifer Hudson performed, while peeps like Katy Perry, John Mayer and Miley Cyrus also attended, according to MTV.

Beyonce and Jay-Z Not Afraid to Go Budget at UK's Premier Inn

We might balk at staying at a Premier Inn in the UK, given the state of UK's budget brands, but it's apparently all right with Beyonce and Jay-Z. News of the World reports that the famous duo stayed in a Premier Inn, whose rooms go as low as £29 a night, when Jay-Z performed at the Isle of Wight music festival over the weekend. AND they even reportedly skipped a specially-prepared meal, opting to eat at a nearby Pizza Hut instead. Jigga-what?

That said, we can't blame them for choosing Premier Inn. The brand not only has low rates but also modern amenities like king-sized beds, flat-screen TVs, black-out shades and WiFi, although that's not free.

Ok, yeah, this isn't working. We tried to make sense of this but we can't. Why Beyonce and Jay-Z would stay here is beyond us. Maybe News of the World has it wrong. Anyone else who can verify a B and Hova appearance at Premier Inn, let us know.

Awards season has hit its stride in Los Angeles, ushering an even greater influx of A-list celebs, parties, and traffic jams that are already all-too-common in the entertainment capital of the world. It's also an immensely popular time to travel to the city, meaning hotels, especially those luxurious playgrounds for young and rich US Weekly regulars are more packed than usual.

This weekend's Grammy awards are taking place at the gargantuan Staples Center, and there's still time to book it to La-La Land in hopes of seeing Taylor or GaGa or Beyonce (cue heart palpitations and OMG-ing). Rather than try to find rooms at Chateau Marmont, the Roosevelt, or other West Hollywood/Hollywood hotspots, we opted to do some research into what's going on Downtown, where the awards are being held.

We’re getting slightly jealous bored of these celeb-filled hotel launch parties at the moment, but we also like our lodgings to come with a little sprinkling of stardust. Luckily, Beyoncé has helped us out this week with the bash she threw at the weekend in honour of Jay Z’s 40th birthday.

She flew 50 of his mates (including Diddy, Oprah, Kate Hudson and A-Rod, Kanye and Amber Rose and Alicia Keys) out on private jets to the Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican Republic.

The theme was old-style gangster. There were two dance floors. There were fireworks. There was Alicia duetting with the birthday boy. There were even synchronized swimmers.

If you were a pop-star diva a la Madonna and could, ostensibly, spend nights in any hotel in the whole entire world, where would you go? The Seasons? The Ritz? We'd guess old-school, Sean-Penn-era Madge would probably hit up The Standard NYC with all its public sexytime craziness — and, oh, wait, this just in: rumor has it she's there right now.

The Stan D'Arde Twitter spread some hot goss on the Internet this morning: "Madonna is @StandardNY. Shhhhhhh." Yes, yes. We'll be quiet about it when we're skulking around the High Line this evening.

Beyonce and Her Freakum Dress Prefer Le Meurice

The divalicious Beyonce, whose every move is worshiped by some of us here at HotelChatter HQ, was in Paris last night. She was spotted emerging from Hotel Le Meurice looking fly, naturally, in a blue Freakum Dress (note: if you've yet to convert to the church of Knowles, she has a song called "Freakum Dress" about a super fly dress much like this one).

Gossip Girls reminds us that she may have been on her way out to celebrate her Golden Globe nomination, which was announced yesterday — Knowles received a nod for Best Original Song for "Once in a Lifetime," a jam she co-wrote for the Cadillac Records soundtrack.

And just so we're clear: when we picture Beyonce in her posh suite at the ultra-expensive Le Meurice (single rooms start around $695 USD tonight), we like to think she's singing her song "Upgrade U", with its lyrics that mention things like purple labels, diamond cream facials, VVS cuff links and 6-star pent suites.
