In a way, it was over before it even began. Celebrity power couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore were suddenly thrown into the center of a media whirlwind when it was discovered that Ashton had shacked up with a girl at the Hard Rock San Diego—and what's worse, her "friend" was actually wiling to corroborate the entire story. Ruh roh.

After the story was leaked by this gossip blog, all sorts of details were swirling around—the confiscated cellphones, the "gaggle" of girls, the pre-sex "waiting room" (we picture them all lined up like Gaga fans at a CD signing)—but this email set the record straight. Demi And Ashton Dwell On Divorce In Different Hotels

The couple were seen together several weeks ago on an emergency reconciliation camping trip near Santa Barbara.

Now that their divorce news has come and gone, Demi and Ashton are planning their next moves carefully—well, mostly Demi. While much of Ashton's time is devoted to his new role on the hit TV show Two And A Half Men, Demi is doing the only thing she knows how to do in times of duress: seek refuge in a hotel. The NY Post reports that Moore hopped a plane to Hawaii to do "some soul-searching."

The name of the hotel has not yet been released, but we're guessing she's staying well away from The Waikiki Edition. Too many unhappy marriage associations, you know? Plus, we know Demi likes her privacy. More likely than not, she's pitched a tent in the forest just to keep away those pesky hotel maids.

'Two Hours' Of Pleasure Lead To Divorce For Ashton And Demi

We kind of saw this coming. After six years of marriage, Demi Moore filed for divorce from her wayward husband yesterday—and we've even got the tweet to prove it. @aplusk, or Ashton Kutcher as he's known outside of the Twittersphere, made headlines all over the world last month with his extramarital late-night tryst at the Hard Rock San Diego.

During an interview with UK paper The Sun last month, Sara Leal revealed she and Kutcher spent two hours having sex in the room, before Ashton congratulated himself on his performance. Typical.

Demi Moore Has The Most Depressing Hotel Stay Ever

It must be true. Your choice of hotel mirrors your station in life. Take for example this celebrity couple on the brink of divorce.

Ashton Kutcher most likely ended his marriage to Demi Moore with a groupie sex fling at at the Hard Rock in San Diego, a notorious party hotel. Meanwhile, Demi sought solace from the sex scandal in the loving arms of the refined Crosby Street Hotel in Soho.

Star Magazine managed to bribe get a staffer to divulge the details of Demi's stay and it's super sad.

She didn't have any visitors, including room service or maid service during her stay, a hotel insider reveals. And she was never spotted outside her room except for when she left to appear on Good Morning America and to attend the premiere of her upcoming film, Five, on September 26.

Ashton Kutcher Officially Put An End To His Marriage At The Hard Rock San Diego

The week wouldn't be complete without a little celebrity-fueled hotel scandal, and we feel like the crumbling empire of Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore's marriage is as good a scandal as any.

College gossip blog The Dirty broke the news yesterday that Ashton cheated on Demi by getting jiggy on the twelfth floor of the Hard Rock San Diego. The mystery lady in question is a girl by the name of Sara Leal, whose "friend" emailed The Dirty to confirm that the event had taken place, and around what time the whole thing took place. Apparently, these types of affairs don't get rolling until near sunrise. Or maybe Ashton had just been too busy playing around in the hotel bathroom.

Ashton Kutcher Leads Fans on a SXSW Scavenger Hunt to Austin's Driskill Hotel

Our brother site Jaunted happens to be down in Austin, Texas this week for the SxSW Festival. Over the next few days, they'll be filling us in on the hotel scene and what celebs are disco napping where.

Yesterday, Ashton Kutcher sent his Twitter followers on a scavenger hunt through downtown Austin. Between 10am and 2pm, he tweeted four clues referencing four different Austin landmarks where you could check into location-based social networking app Foursquare, culminating with a live appearance by @aplusk himself at The Driskill Hotel downtown.

Which Japanese Hotel Bathroom Is Ashton Kutcher Hot For?

Ashton Kutcher grossed out America when he appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno recently and went all TMI, saying that he enjoyed peeing in his backyard, but we're more interested in another one of his bathroom habits. Demi Moore's hubby revealed that he and the Mrs. were inspired by a Japanese hotel lavatory.

He didn't name the hotel, but its cool high-tech toilet prompted the Kutcher clan to buy one, albeit one not as fancy, for their home. Kutcher said the Japanese john does so much, "It’ll pick up the phone for you." "The seat goes up and down, it knows that you're there," he said. "It's like magical. I'm not kidding—it says, 'Thank you,' after you go."

Demi Moore Throws Ashton a 30th Birthday Party at the Bowery Hotel

Is it wrong that we care more about who showed up for Ashton Kutcher's 30th birthday than we do about Ashton Kutcher himself?

The guy hasn't had a decent movie since...well...ever, really and at this point he'll probably be most remembered for marrying much-older Demi Moore. But that totally worked out for him because look who she brought to his 30th birthday party at Gemma inside the Bowery Hotel:

Among the guests: Willis and his model-girlfriend Emma Heming; Salma Hayek and her fiance François-Henri Pinault; famed producer Guy Oseary and Madonna, who brought him a gift and sang him "Happy Birthday!"

The crowd then moved over to the site of the Bowery Hotel's newest sister property The Hotel Riverview where they partied at basement club, Socialista. Spotted there was Kate Hudson, Liv Tyler, Roberto Cavalli, Lucy and Liu.
