Zac Efron Shows He's More Than Just a Pretty Face at the Hard Rock San Diego

With so much news of guests mistreating hotel help, especially housekeepers, it's refreshing to hear an instance where someone recognizes the hardworking employees. So kudos to big spender Zac Efron for leaving a 40 percent tip at a hotel bar.

The High School Musical star stopped by the Hard Rock San Diego to party at Float and get drunk, according to TMZ.

Unlike His Tween Star Colleagues, Zac Efron Goes For the Ritz in NYC

Perhaps we will just never understand this particular generation of Disney-Channel-manufactured tween superstars. The Mileys and the Jonases and the Zac Efrons get mobbed in the same ways the much-closer-to-our-hearts NKOTB and Hanson-era teen stars were mobbed — except, for some reason, we'd probably happily still mob any hotel entrances for NKOTB or Hanson, but would walk right by Zac Efron in a hotel lobby.

But maybe that's because he's sometimes so tan that we wouldn't be able to tell him apart from the gold statues decorating the lobby.

Still, Efron was snapped by paps leaving his "Midtown hotel" — which appears to be the Ritz-Carlton Central Park, if our hotel creeping instincts are on point. He was looking decidedly more like a person than like the gold Ritz-Carlton logo, and, according to Gossip Girls, the Disney celeb was in town checking out the "Rock of Ages" Broadway show on Monday, and this pic was snapped yesterday morning (Tuesday).

Unlike his other Disney-made tweeny star friends like Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, he did not go anywhere near Trump Tower (which seemed to be becoming tween star HQ as of late) — giving the place a (likely) welcome reprieve from the screaming young lady masses.
