42 The Calls
If you’re not completely sported out by the World Cup, may we remind you that the Tour de France is kicking off next month – and, for the first time ever, it’s starting in Yorkshire (yes, as in Yorkshire, England. Long Story. Not that uncommon. Don't ask).
The opening ceremony – the Tour’s biggest to date – takes place July 3 in Leeds, and tickets are still available from £50.75.
So where are you going to stay?
Leeds is full of gorgeous hotels, from your Malmaisons and Novotels (yes, even the Novotel is snazzy in Leeds) to ones of a kind like 42 The Calls, in an 18th-century converted corn mill, and The New Ellington, a swish, boutiquey kind of place. It also has a proper grande dame in the shape of The Queens. All are showing availability for under £100 for the night of the opening ceremony.
