The Waldorf Astoria Chicago Wants Your Kids To Stare at The Walls
Earlier this summer, we took a look at some of the family and kid-friendly offerings out there in the hotel world and we even did an up close look at the amenities offered to kids visiting Chicago. Today, we've got another kid-approved hotel in Chicago to add to the list--The Waldorf Astoria Chicago.
The hotel is now stocking augmented reality wall decals from RoomMates for their pint-sized guests. When families check-in, the kids can choose from six different Disney designs to be stuck on the room walls. (Don't worry, they peel off easily.) The designs include Cars 2, Phineas and Ferb, Agent P and Dr. Doofenshmirtz, The Muppets and Mickey Mouse.
Aside from giving the little ones something fun to look at, the decals are also interactive. Just download the BoostAR app from iTunes or Google Play, then hold your phone or tablet up to the decal and voila! The decal will unlock interactive features, videos and games for the kids to play.
Best of all, the wall decals are totally complimentary. That should make you feel a little better about spending $300+ on the room.
