Miami Hotel Mambo: Construction on the W South Beach is Slowly Moving Along

We got a very generous email from a reader yesterday in South Beach who updated us on the progress of the W South Beach Hotel.

As you can see, for a hotel that's been in the works for a few years now there's not that much going on except a nearly empty lot. That building you see is actually not the W South Beach but part of Gansevoort Paradiso instead.

On the bright side, as tipster CHP says, "At least the old Holiday Inn is gone." He also gives it another two years before the hotel opens. So the 2010 opening date is holding.
