Victoria's Secret Trades Fontainebleau For Gansevoort South
The W South Beach may be the newest hotel in Miami, but that doesn’t mean it gets all of the buzz on the beach. Case in point: tomorrow, the Gansevoort South is hosting a casting event for Victoria’s Secret models.
Aspiring Angels should show up at the hotel between 8–10 a.m., with an entry form, ID, swimwear, and high heels. (No lingerie or visible logos—please, this is a classy contest!) Entrants must be 18–30 years of age, 5’8” or taller in bare feet, and come ready to rock the catwalk for the VS panel of “experts.”
Castings were held at Yankee Stadium in New York last weekend, and two more will follow—at the W Hotel Los Angeles Westwood on October 17, and the W Hotel Chicago Lakeshore on October 24. Ten finalists will be flown to New York for an “Angel Boot Camp”—they’ll live together in a loft and complete a series of challenges, all while being filmed. The public can watch videos of the contestants online and vote for the winner, who will get to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show TV Special on December 1st.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show at Fontainebleau Airs Tonight

Heidi Cuts the Ribbon and Models Cut Up the Runway at Fontainebleau
Oh, how we so wish we could give you a personal Party Dispatch from this weekend's Fontainebleau Miami grand re-opening festivities on this fine Monday morning. We do wish we could tell you all about how we stuffed our faces with hors d'ouvres and gawked at celebs on Friday night, and then we'd casually chat with you about how we spent Saturday evening joking around with the models from the Victoria's Secret fashion show before it was taped at the hotel's new poolscape that night. But, alas, we were not there.
But! We know enough about the guest list and the parties that, uh, we can tell you about it so we can all feel like we were there!

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show To Be Held at The Fontainebleau Miami
CBS has announced the oh-so-popular Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will return to the TV lineup for the Fall, this time broadcasting from the recently redone Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach.
Victoria's Secret Supermodel Heidi Klum, along with Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller, Miranda Kerr and a bevy of other Victoria's Secret Angels, will star in this holiday infused lingerie runway show, which will also include musical performances, red carpet interviews, model profiles and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the world's most celebrated fashion show.
The Fontainebleau should look just as pretty as the supermodels considering it is in the midst of a $1 billion facelift. The iconic resort which hit the Miami Beach scene in the 1950s will now include two new towers (Chateau and Versailles), 11 restaurants and lounges, a 40,000-sq.ft. bi-level spa, and an oceanfront "poolscape" featuring several pools.
The hotel will reopen sometime in September with room rates starting at $239 a night.

Where The Victoria's Secret Models Stay
A couple weeks back we found ourselves at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel at Hollywood and Highland.
The rooms are run-of-the-mill Marriott rooms--bed and linens on the older side, and definitely not high end.
The common areas are clean and make a perfect conference setting and the hotel is attached to the Hollywood & Highland Center, which includes a multitude of shopping locations and a Lucky Strike.
However, the Hollywood & Highland center also includes the David Rockwell designed, 3,500 seat Kodak Theatre. Why is this important? Well you never know who might be sharing your hotel awaiting their turn on stage at the Kodak. Who exactly? Glad you asked. While we were at the Renaissance, on November 15, a bevy of Victoria's Secret models were hanging out in and around the hotel waiting to walk the Kodak runway for the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
The fashion show was filmed November 16 and will air December 5th on CBS at 10 PM EST.
