Viceroy South Beach Restaurant and Location Details

In our interview with Nick Clayton, president of Kor Hotels, we learned that the Viceroy brand was coming to South Beach and downtown Miami. And now we have some information about the restaurant set to open in the Viceroy South Beach.

Restaurateur Myles Chefetz of Prime One Twelve fame and developer Jorge Perez have partnered up to offer a 7,500-square-foot restaurant at the residences at Viceroy South Beach, set to open sometime in 2008. While Prime is a modern steakhouse, this unnamed restaurant brand will be "a modern Italian concept, incorporating American and Italian cuisine with non-traditional elements of décor, menus, etc."

As for the restaurant and the hotel's location, we learn that they will be located at the intersection of Washington Avenue and South Pointe Drive. (See picture above.)

Chefetz has been busy lately opening a spin-off to his famed Prime One Twelve restaurant in the Hotel Gansevoort's new building, Gansevoort on Park. Meanwhile, the Gansevoort South Beach should open in early 2008. That is, if they have gotten a beach club zoning permit. [See Comments]
