Valentine's Day for hotels usually means breaking out the cases of champagne and loading up on chocolate-covered strawberries to place throughout their guestrooms. But we're not into that. We've already told you our favorite hotels for Valentine's Day but this week, we'd like to spotlight some of the most opulent V-Day packages out there. If you're going to impress your schmoopie, why not go all out?

The Greenwich Hotel in TriBeca, owned by Robert DeNiro, has put together a star treatment sans the pesky paparazzi. Upon arrival, a bottle of bubbly and aphrodisiacs will be handed to you. Then to get you in the mood, you'll nibble on Champagne truffles, raspberries with fresh whipped cream, and oysters.

Other rated-PG amenities in the package include a Japanese bath soak followed by massage for two in the hotel's Shibui Spa. You lovebirds will also dine at Italian restaurant Locanda Verde and be served breakfast in bed each morning.

But the rated-R-or-higher perks come out at night.

Inside the Thompson Beverly Hills Hotel

The other week we were a little dismayed to find that while we've been inside almost every hotel in Los Angeles, we were lacking a little on the Hotel Video Tours, compared to other cities like New York and Las Vegas.

Then we remembered we had this gem from last November of the Thompson Beverly Hills Hotel.

This is room 817, a king deluxe with a bathroom that looks nearly identical to the hotel's sister property in New York, 60 Thompson. In fact, if you shut the bathroom door you could pretend you were in NYC. Except you have a little bit more wiggle room.

Jealous of Heidi Montag's People Mag Cover? Make Your Own at the Raffaello Hotel

Sometimes a Hallmark card doesn't quite capture the message you want to convey. So for Valentine's Day, show your sweetheart how you feel by gifting him with a pin-up poster of yourself posing at Chicago's Raffaello Hotel. Except unlike Heidi Montag who recently scored the cover of People Magazine for the worst reason ever to show off her new look, you won't have to undergo 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day.

However, it will cost you some money.

For $525, you will get a "Boudoir Session," a sexy 45-minute photo shoot in the hotel's executive grand suite. As part of the deal, you'll get your hair and makeup did by Beauty on Call and then you'll strike a pose for professional photographers from Prêt a Poser. Hopefully, the session will include some sexy sheets too as that executive suite looks so very dull. Too many neutral colors!

The Strand Drops to $159 a Night, Even On Valentine's Day

It's low season in New York and aside from mind-numbing low temperatures there's also low hotel room rates to be had.

Travelzoo put out a blast on the new Strand Hotel for just $159 a night. Remember when we were trying to get a room for under $250 just the other month?

The deal is good any night of the week through March 10 and includes free European-style breakfast buffet and free WiFi. Need a little more room? The Deluxe rooms are going for $189 a night and the special rates are available over Valentine's Day weekend as well. However, there are blackout dates from Jan. 30 to Feb. 2.

She Bangs! Latin Lovers Await at The Barclay Hotel

If one of your New Year's resolutions for 2010 was to quit drinking, then we advise you to fall off the wagon so you can down one of the "Latin Lovers" at the Intercontinental New York Barclay on 48th and Park Ave.

Mixologist Jose Torrella of The Barclay Bar and Grill has concocted some specialty cocktails for Valentine's Day (Yes, it's time to start thinking about this sappy holiday already.)

There's the Latin Lover Mojito which adds raspberries to the traditional recipe. In the mood for something more tarty? Try the Bitter Sweet Love which mixes vodka, cranberry juice, with a splash of pomegranate molasses as well as edible flower petals. Or you could go on a date with the Pink Latina who mixes Tanqueray Rangpur with cranberry juice, grapefruit juice and is garnished with a pink orchid. All drinks are $14.

So if you find yourself without a date on Valentine's Day, console yourself with these lovers. Just not too many. You have a reputation to keep remember? But just in case, rooms at the hotel on V-day are going for $332 a night.
