These Hotel Deals Uncovered A NYC Jewel and an Arizona Gem
Deals: you want 'em, and surprisingly, everyone has 'em. Take a look at some of the latest hotel deals going around the internet today from booking sites, social media sites, flash sale sites and more. · The Lullaby of Broadway is a Buy Once More: The Milford Plaza in Times Square finally got a property-wide renovation and we're happy to report the hotel with the catchiest commercial jingle of the '80s looks good again. And Travelzoo is now offering a great deal for summertime, peak season for NYC hotels, for just $179 a night. That rate actually works for Thursday-Saturday stays in June and July, and it includes free WiFi. Plus, the hotel is open over Fourth of July starting at $159 a night. There are blackout dates (June 6, 30 and July 6) and you have to book by March 27. Going to NYC before June? The hotel has rates for just $199 in April and May. Go to Travelzoo to book.
· Live It Up In Vegas for 20 Percent Less: The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas is one of the most sought-after party spots on The Strip from its raging pool scene to its massive nightclub Marquee and its restaurant funland featuring Holstein's, Scarpetta, STK and two shops from chef José Andrés. Now you can stay there for 20 percent off thanks to Vegas.com's new deal. The offer is good for stays from now through September 30, but you have to book before May 30. A three-night minimum is required and there are some blackout dates (Memorial Day, Labor Day and a few others) but we found rates from May 10-13 for $186 a night, compared with $233. Go here to book.
· Upgrade Yourself at the Newest Orient-Express Hotel: Orient-Express Hotels has snapped and spiffed up the legendary El Encanto Resort in Santa Barbara, which now features 92 individually designed California-style bungalows, with hardwood floors, plantation-style shutters, and bespoke accessories. The first West Coast hotel for O-E also has its own spa, a lush garden wonderland, views of the Pacific Ocean and even its own Holstein cow, Ellie, whose milk is used to produce handmade cheese for the hotel's restaurant. Rates for a superior bungalow are pricey at $525 a night but the Enchanted Upgrade package gives guests a one- category upgrade at the time of booking. It's only valid until May 31st (excluding Memorial Day Weekend) so book soon. Call 805-845-4008 and mention the Enchanted Upgrade option. The More $99 NYC Hotel Rooms, The Merrier
Typically we don't pay much attention to the weekly Travelzoo Top 20 newsletter. You know what we're talking about—the deals email that arrives usually chock full of $499 cruise specials, four-digit guided tour packages and discount Cirque du Soleil tickets. The Travelzoo hotel pickings can be iffy, especially since they're seeking out the cheapest rate possible, but today's newsletter may have uncovered a legitimate gem: the Hotel Thirty Thirty.
They're advertising $99 per night right near the Empire State Building, for stays many nights now until February 29, 2012. The reason? The hotel just completed a renovation, and the after photos are actually attractive.
Searching directly on their website for random, weekday nights in January, the lowest we could find is $126 per night. Going through the Travelzoo link, the prices come down to $79/night for the single room, or $99/night for the queen, all renovated. Prices nearer to now (like in November) seem to hover around $199 per night.

Get Dinner and a Room at Santa Barbara's Canary Hotel for $299
We'll find any excuse to visit beautiful Santa Barbara. The beaches, mountain backdrop and Spanish adobe buildings with red-tile roofs make it a charming vacay spot. Luckily, Travelzoo is giving us a good reason to visit the beachy town, that and we might get to bump into Parks & Recreation's Rob Lowe, who—literally—hangs in SB since he lives nearby in Montecito.
The package is good for West Coasters who want a quickie getaway. As part of the deal, you'll spend a night at the Canary Hotel and get dinner for two for $299, a $350 savings.

The Wyndham Times Square South is Now Just $109 a Night with Free Internet
Call us crazy but we love it when the temperatures dip low in New York, that's because it means hotel rates dip too, especially in January when there's not much going on in general.
Today we spotted a deal for $109 a night on Travelzoo at the Wyndham Garden Hotel Times Square South on 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues.
Already we're liking this deal because the hotel has free internet and a Home on Loan program that lets guest borrow certain amenities during their stay such as cellphone chargers, sound soothers and pre-loaded MP3 players (Sorry, no iPads available.) But we're a bit cautious about staying in a Wyndham in Times Square.
The good news is the hotel is still rather new, having just opened in December 2008. (Back then, it was known as the Wyndham Garden Hotel Midtown.) The decor looks clean and attractive and we're digging the flat-screen TV mounted on the wall. We wouldn't expect a large space but the beds and their BeWell bedding do look comfy, at least for a night. Yet we know better than to trust a hotel's website photos.

Recover From Holiday Shopping With a $99 Stay at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
It's only the second day of December and we're already wishing we could drop all sense of reason and act like a spoiled Real Housewife--ie jet off someplace warm to get over the dreadful stress of holiday parties and gift shopping. Thanks to this great deal from Travelzoo, perhaps we can! The site currently has a sale on rooms at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess for just $99 a night for much of December.
When we checked this morning, the $99 rooms were available on December 23 and Christmas Eve, but why wait? If the big-city holiday rush just gets too much, we say do as Ramona or Bethenny would: grab your fruit-loopiest friends and head to the spa.

The W Downtown is Now Only $199 a Night on Travelzoo
The only difficulty we had in putting together The 12 Best Hotels in NYC for this holiday season was trying to keep the costs down but if you're still keen on an NYC getaway, there are some lower rates just around the corner.
At the W Downtown, room rates drop to $199 a night on Travelzoo from December 16-26, again from January 2-9 and pretty much all weekends in both January and February. (We found the rate in place for the weekend of January 14.)
The deal is blacked out December 17 and 18 and you must book by November 24 using the code TZOO11. But considering that room rates for next week were averaging about $480 when we last looked, this is a deal you will want to gift for yourself. Don't wait for Santy Claus!

$89 Over Thanksgiving in LA Sounds Great, But...
Trolling through Travelzoo's deals today, we noticed a ton of great hotel rates over Thanksgiving but one that struck us was this $89 rate for The Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles's Koreatown.
The deal sounds rather amazeballs, if you will. This includes an upgraded room with floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of the iconic Hollywood sign, along with two for one breakfast daily, $7 off parking and complimentary WiFi. The only thing is, we've never heard of The Wilshire Hotel before. That's probably because it used to be a Radisson.
Now it looks like the hotel is undergoing some renovations but not all the rooms are done. And according to recent TripAdvisor reviews, the rooms might be the worst part about this hotel. Another bummer for the hotel? It's location in Koreatown which is not quite close to anything--not downtown, not Hollywood and certainly not the beach.

Paris In The Spring Is Affordable Thanks to Concorde Montparnasse
Paris is always a beyatch for hotel prices, but Travelzoo has scouted out a fabulous offer this week if you want to make a quick trip to the city of lurve.
The Concorde Montparnasse has rooms for €109 (£97 or $147) a night at the moment, and even includes an upgrade to a superior room, a glass of champagne, free WiFi and the ever elusive, ever expensive buffet breakfast.
We’re fans of Concorde and although we haven’t stayed at the Montparnasse, we had a good time at the Hotel Lutetia last year, so this is definitely worth a go.

The Strand Drops to $159 a Night, Even On Valentine's Day
It's low season in New York and aside from mind-numbing low temperatures there's also low hotel room rates to be had.
Travelzoo put out a blast on the new Strand Hotel for just $159 a night. Remember when we were trying to get a room for under $250 just the other month?
The deal is good any night of the week through March 10 and includes free European-style breakfast buffet and free WiFi. Need a little more room? The Deluxe rooms are going for $189 a night and the special rates are available over Valentine's Day weekend as well. However, there are blackout dates from Jan. 30 to Feb. 2.

Spend Labor Day in Scottsdale For Only $95 a Night
President Obama might be requesting privacy in Martha's Vineyard during his vacation but for your Labor Day getaway you can hit up the hotel he checked into a few months back, The Intercontinental Montelucia in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The hotel is offering rooms over Labor Day for just $95 a night through September 7. That includes a $25 daily resort credit and an upgrade to a Kasbah Village Poolside Room or Oasis Village Room (if available.)
The deal can only be found on TravelZoo. Guests must use the code TZ8 to book. We went and tested it ourselves and unlike some other low rates we've seen, this one actually worked. Without the code, a signature room was going for $160 a night. The Presidential Suite, where we assume President Obama stayed, was going for $10,000 a night. Hmmm...we'll pass.

Free Breakfast, Free Parking and a Low Rate at the Luxe Hotel
The four-star Luxe Hotel in Bel Air is looking to give guests a little summer loving in the form of a $179 per night room rate on Travelzoo. The special includes free breakfast, valet parking and a free room upgrade based on availability.
Rooms at the hotel usually start at $250, so that’s a pretty big discount to start. The other perks add up to about $90, so it’s sort of like paying half-price. Or, at least that’s what the hotel tells us. However, we applaud any place that takes care of the notoriously pricey hotel parking.
And if you think you will not need a car, think again. This is Los Angeles and this hotel is right next to the freeway (although tastefully hidden.) Unless you want to have a chauffeur take you around, a rental car is necessary.
There are, of course, a few conditions. You have to book your room by May 29, though the offer is good for travel any day of the week through the end of September. Blackout dates are: May 29-30, June 3-5, 13-14, 19-27.
