It's Hard to Believe But Bill Marriott Was Once Young and Cute

In Bill Marriott's weekly blog/letter taken by his secretary, he reminisces about his days as a Boy Scout and even includes a snapshot of him as a youngster proudly sporting his uniform and a gelled up 'do.

You know, back then, over sixty years ago, scouting was different from what it is today. I was a city kid and I was working on my merit badges and I had no place to camp out. So, to get camping merit badge, I had to sleep out 50 nights.

Where was I going to do that?

Well, my folks helped me buy a tent and I put it in the backyard and out of my fifty nights, I think forty of them were backyard nights. But I slept out and I was able to qualify for that merit badge.

Now that he's all grown up, Bill has created Camp Marriott in Virginia where Boy Scouts can go to work on earning their merit badges. And while being a Scout won't get you a job, it will probably help.*

Tori Tattoos and Blow at T+L's 35th Anniversary Party

Who knew turning 35 was cause for a celeb-studded celebration?

HotelChatter was able to pop in on Travel + Leisure's 35th Anniversary Party which was held at the W Westwood-Los Angeles.

We arrived expecting a quiet industry party held within the W's new restaurant or bar, and instead we were ushered to the hotel's pool area where the first thing we saw was Rachel Bilson posing on the W/T+L Red Carpet.

This was no industry party (FYI: We chose to step in wet grass and walk around the bathrooms to avoid this red carpet.)

With a Ketel One cosmo in hand, we positioned ourselves perfectly so that we could see the celebs coming into the party without looking stalkerish.

Those rolling in were Emmy Rossum (with bored-looking boyfriend in tow), Gabrielle Beauvais, Jason Sehorn with wife Angie Harmon, Natasha Henstridge, Brooke Burke,(who barely clears 5 feet) with Baywatch boyfriend David Charvet, and making a late entrance was Tori Spelling with her fiancee Dean McDermott. The duo had no qualms making out on the red carpet and McDermott even eagerly rolled up his shirtsleeves so that the paparazzi could get pics of his Tori tattoos.

Unfortunately, we don't have any great pictures because our camera got a bit drunk.
