If you're a devoted viewer of the "Today Show" on NBC, then you may have been keeping up with the shows's "Where Are We Today?" segment where viewers have to guess the correct location before it's revealed the next day. But maybe you didn't know that the segment was being sponsored by Choice Hotels and as part of this sponsorship, the hotel collection is offering a lucky viewer to win a $25,000 cash prize. And no hotel stays needed!

Of course, Choice would like you to spend your nights at their hotels (which include Comfort Inns, Cambria Suites and Quality Inns) and indeed you must be a member of their Choice Privileges program to enter.

The Today Show Digs the Peking Duck at Grand Hyatt Beijing

It seems that watching stacked Olympians win medals all over the place in Beijing makes us kinda hungry. We're pretty fixated on the hotel dining scene over in Beijing (hey, man, we don't have any world records to break), so we were thrilled when Matt and Meredith were feelin' what we were feelin' when they headed to China.

Last week, the Today Show featured a segment on the best Peking Duck in the world -- which just so happens to (arguably) be served at Grand Hyatt Beijing's restaurant, Made in China (teehee!)

The restaurant's manager took the Today Show through the whole Peking Duck dining, uh, "process," and they seemed to love it. You can check out the whole segment here -- and we really hope the Grand Hyatt staffers don't actually stand over your shoulder while you're dining and yell "1, 2, 3 EAT!" like they do here.

HotelChatter Featured on Today Show

March 18, 2008 at 9:20 AM | by | Comments (9)

HotelChatter was featured on the Today Show's cheapskate travel segment this morning. Travel & Leisure features editor, Nilou Motamed, expertly walked Matt Lauer through some of the web's best stops for planning vacations.

Nilou told Matt about HotelChatter and specifically our section where we obsess over new hotels. So if you are looking for deals, info and dirt on new hotels, or if you are looking to leave a comment or ask a question on a new hotel -- check our our Hotel Openings section.

To become a HotelChatter member and participate in the conversation, just go here, or you can sign up for our newsletter, of course both are free.
