In Which HotelChatter and Jason Pomeranc Finally Collide

We never thought this day would come. After years of constantly blogging about Jason Pomeranc, his hotels, his crackberry and his social life, we finally got to meet the hotelier in person. And he was not happy.

"I am very passionate about what I do and I'm very serious about it too," he told us firmly.

Gulp. We were sitting in a booth at Thompson Beverly Hills' restaurant Bond Street with Jason and his publicist and we were regretting valeting our car. Parking on the street would have made for a much easier getaway.

Despite Jason's annoyance over our coverage of his social life and at the fact that Six Columbus is now a verb on Urban Dictionary, he was surprisingly chill with us when we started talking about his hotels.

Just back from Hawaii, he was already in the casual LA uniform often found on young, successful creative dudes--a worn-in white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, jeans and black John Varvatos converse sneakers. More proof that Jason is chill? He drinks iced green tea.
