The James Hotel's New Eco-Friendly Beauty Box Will Make Guests Squeaky Clean

Here's a new reason to forego the standard guest rooms and book a suite at one of the James Hotels's three properties in New York, Chicago and Miami.
The hotel brand has teamed up with GlossyBox, a luxury beauty product line, to make a limited edition goodie bag box full of environmentally-friendly, unisex—and, yes, travel-size—beauty products. The entire kit retails for $35 on the GlossyBox website, but to make things easier for guests, it will also be available for purchase in select suites at the hotels.

Tiptoeing Around the Shenton Suite At Fullerton Bay Hotel

There are five suites offered at the Fullerton Bay Hotel, each loosely styled after a particular culture that has played a significant role in Singapore's rich history. Our favorite is the Shenton Suite, a gold- and brown-accented number which the hotel describes as "fit for a Maharaja," a subtle hint at the suite's Indian influence.
Walking in, there is a small lounge area with rich textures of suede, rosewood and chrome. An L-shaped sofa sits directly across from the minibar, which is stocked with full-size bottles of Johnny Walker Black Label and Belvedere Vodka; the walls are covered in wooden panels decorated with Indian-style motifs.
We're told all of the rooms here are designed to make guests feel like they're on a luxury cruise ship, and that is exactly how they feel. The Shenton Suite, for example, is small, but more miniature-small, not cramped-small. Walking around it, the space was so fluid and ergonomic, we actually felt like we ought to have been on our tiptoes to avoid disturbing the peace.

Finding Peace In Hyatt Union Square's Sanctuary Suite

Ever since our sneak peek last year, we knew that the guest rooms at Hyatt Union Square were going to be a little more, uh…special than your standard Hyatt four-walls-and-a-bed blueprint.
And sure enough, a tour last week through the brand spankin' new hotel's "Sanctuary Suite" confirmed all that.
Located on the second floor, it is one of two major suites in the whole 167-room hotel, and it benefits from having a wraparound terrace, complete with white deck lounge furniture and oversized, Delano-esque lamps. The terrace absolutely makes the suite, as far as we're concerned, since it a) is massive and b) looks down on Fourth Avenue, so you can see crowds coming and going from nearby Union Square.
And now, for the rest of the suite…

Raffles Dubai Unveils the Middle East's "Most Luxurious Floor"

Raffles Dubai put the world's most expensive dress on display last fall, and leave it to them to outdo themselves in a matter of months (who else could, really?). This spring Raffles is introducing what they call the Middle East's most luxurious floor - a 21,500 square-foot "space" that takes up most of the 14th level of the hotel. That's right, a private floor with six rooms, a spa, hair salon, majlis (that's meeting room, in basic terms), three private kitchens and a cinema that seats nine. Damn! (but watch your language if you see it, ok?)
Not impressed, you snort? Pfft. Fine. How about access via a private elevator, 24-hour check in, a private limousine service and chauffeur, customized linens, a private chef, and a dedicated butler? Sound good? Sounds like another case of Dubai being as flossy as they wanna be. Don't hate!
"A lot of the hotel guests travel with a big entourage and sometimes book half a floor," a hotel employee has said. "The Dubai Floor is perfect for this type of guest as they'll have a whole floor for themselves and privacy. This what makes it unique."
You bet your as bippy it does.

Cute, or Creepy? Grosvenor House Builds A Nursery For Kate Middleton's Baby

Places like The Goring, The Stafford and Park Plaza Hotels were all quick to join in the royal wedding mania that took place two summers ago, but here's one hotel that seems to be starting a new trend: royal baby mania.
London's Grosvenor House has chosen to re-decorate one of its Premium Park suites in anticipation of Kate Middleton and Prince William's firstborn. Not that, like, the baby is actually planning to stay there (at this moment, it can't even digest its own food, so we don't see how it could be making hotel reservations…), but, you know, just in case.
"Suite Dreams" is a fully-equipped nursery, with a luxurious four-poster crib, hand-painted furniture, Beatrix Potter-inspired designs, and a children's play area with a London-themed toy cupboard.
The whole thing is pretty impressive, actually, though no surprise there, as Daily Mail tells us the suite was actually designed by Dragons of Walton Street, a studio that's created nurseries for the Royal Family in the past.

Atlantis, The Palm Proves Too Extreme For DJ David Guetta

It's never been a secret that Atlantis, The Palm likes to do things on a big scale. Its grand opening party alone coast $35 million.
So we wonder why celebrity DJ David Guetta received such a shock when he checked into his suite at the hotel recently. He griped to 7 Days In Dubai:
"My room is so crazy I’ve never seen anything like it. They gave me a room where the bedroom is under the aquarium. I’m sleeping with sharks and stingrays and I had to close the curtains because I couldn’t sleep, it was freaking me out."

Mix Your Own Martini Inside the Hotel Indigo Shanghai's 'Glamour Suite'

Next up in our Sweet Suite series is this gem from the Hotel Indigo Shanghai on the Bund. Now, we've fallen in love with this place before—specifically, the lobby, with its book-lined shelves, curvy walls, and that lonely yellow bicycle.
But today, we're heading upstairs to the Glamour Suite, which is one of three "Icon suites" located inside the hotel. How did this one get to be so glamorous, you ask? The designers had originally wanted to create three major suites (Shanghai past, present, and future), but the hotel decided to "take things to the next level," and ended up naming the suites Shanghai Deco, Shanghai Glamour and Shanghai Future.
As you can see from the photos, everything—from the mirror-paneled nightstand to the turquoise couch to the marble martini bar—is way over the top. But in a good, life-is-short-so-why-not? kinda way.
The fixtures are designed to "reflect contemporary Shanghai's glamour".
They're also meant to make you feel more glamorous. For example, if you suddenly get inspired to throw a private cocktail party, you can gather in the 12-seat dining room, which has giant windows overlooking Pudong. On top of that, there's also an outdoor terrace that can hold up to 20 people, with views over the Bund.

Fendi Casa Outfits The Penthouse Suite at Oil Nut Bay in BVI

Here's the latest happening in the luxury hotel world as told by JustLuxe.com. Got a question about luxury hotels, the travel biz, and where to stay? Send it in and we'll have JustLuxe answer it.
Just because you’re not ready to sign on the dotted line and make a multi-million dollar real estate investment at Oil Nut Bay, doesn’t mean you’re not welcome at all. Instead, guests and potential buyers are more than welcome to stay in one of their rentals and see what this multi-generational residential community is all about, while naturally taking advantage of all the five-star amenities and services (and with a price tag that starts at $1,500 a night, you can bet there are a few).
They always say you should test drive before you buy, and since Oil Nut Bay is only accessible by boat or helicopter, you might want to make sure this is a place you don’t mind disappearing to for a while.

W Times Square Goes Old School Cool With EWOW Suite
Today's sweet suite comes courtesy of the W New York Times Square, which has tickled our fancy by renovating their Extreme WOW suite (aka EWOW) and giving it the theme "Peep Show", which is meant to remind guests of "Times Square's Notorious Past Meets Its Amusement Park Present". And it's managed to do exactly that by seemingly bringing you right inside the New Year's Eve ball--one that's been smashed to pieces, that is.
Starwood's design team spent $2 million for the reno to create an effect that says "welcome to the disco". The gist? There are lights everywhere. The custom, mirrored LED light fixture creates so many different moods, you may require medication to stabilize them after you're done experimenting with the four different elements. Want to begin the evening in slow motion? There's a tempo and a color for that. Y'all want this party started right and quickly? Choose another hue and a different beat and watch as the lights dance on the ceiling. It's trippy, it's tricky, it's fun. And yes, you can shut it off so you're not waking up to a visual rave.
Speaking of waking up, it's hard to avoid the cliche of not wanting to leave the circular, pimp-style bed (the pillows are made out of old ticket stubs) that commands the bedroom and faces the New York City skyline, but it's truly gorgeous.

Sofitel Sydney Suite Is Addams Family Kooky
Designing a suite that's fit for Gomez and Morticia Addams is no easy task, but Sofitel Wentworth Sydney has the made the glamorous into the mysterious and spooky to welcome the namesake Broadway musical hitting the city's theater district.
From the morbid lobby decorations, elevators that delight you with the retro sitcom's theme song to when you step foot into the suite, you might think you have checked-in to a graveyard instead of a luxury hotel in the middle of the city. The themed room features a mock electric chair, creepy crimson walls and curtains, cobwebs, spiders, a haunted mirror, black towels and bed linen and the obligatory Addams Family portrait on the nightstand to remember your favorite relatives - Pugsley, Wednesday, Lurch, Uncle Fester and Grandmama.
If you want to escape all of the drama from your room, you can even partake in a Addams Family high tea service that's all together ooky. Continuing on the after-life theme, you can feast on a confectionery Cousin Itt from fruit paste and Persian cotton candy or a gloriously gruesome edible chopping block out of sweet apple pie.

The Ultimate Bathroom Resides at The Four Seasons George V Paris
You know how acting legend Spencer Tracy is quoted as saying that when he died, he didn’t want to go to heaven, but to Claridge’s instead? Well, we might just have found our hotel equivalent of heaven: the Penthouse at the Four Seasons George V in Paris.
Designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon as a Parisian apartment, it’s one of the most memorable suites we have seen in a very long time. The space itself, the furniture, the materials, the artwork, the winter garden, the views, the terraces, we’re not ashamed to say we had a total hotel geek moment here.
Plus, for some reason, despite it being SPRING (hear that Mother Nature?) a good many of us are still shivering in our friggin timbers and would love a hot bath. So here's where to get it.

A Twisted Metal Menagerie Inside Room 711 at Hotel Lutetia

Today we're drooling over a Sweet Suite—the kind of top-tier, five-star, too-expensive digs that most of us will never be able to afford. But that won't stop us from fantasizing! From newly-renovated suites to panoramic penthouses overlooking cities, we'll cover all the biggies in this ongoing series. Got a suite we should know about? Send us an email!
We love when local artists get to sink their teeth properly into decorating individual hotel rooms (see: Matthew Bird's recent masterpiece at Melbourne's Hilton on the Park.) And that's exactly what French sculptor Guillaume Piechaud got to do last month inside room 711 at the Hotel Lutetia, also known as the Eiffel Suite.
Working with stainless steel, Piechaud crafted some pretty unique pieces, such as a cobra coffee table, a shark stool, a spider desk. The gleaming sculptures are dispersed throughout the suite like regular pieces of furniture, but there really isn't much that's regular about them at all.
Upstairs in the bedroom, which is outfitted with stark white walls and plush grey carpeting, the artist designed a "conversation" seat and a "comma" night stand. We've never slept between two punctuation marks, but then again, the opportunity's never come up, either!
