Now that aloft hotels have officially opened, Starwood is offering members of the Starwood Preferred Guests Program a serious reward for booking with Aloft now through December 31st:

SPG members can earn an unprecedented 8 Starpoints for every U.S. dollar spent (quadruple the base earning) when they register and then book and stay at any Aloft hotel worldwide. Gold and Platinum members will continue to earn one additional bonus point based on their elite status bringing their earning to an incredible nine Starpoints for every U.S. dollar spent.

Some perspective: SPG members usually earn two points for every dollar spent at participating Starwood properties, so this is big. Points can be redeemed at 860+ hotels worldwide (with no blackout dates!), converted into miles on 30 airlines or used to bid on fun stuff from the SPG Moments program. Guests can register here.

The next Aloft to open is going to be the Aloft Rogers-Bentonville which starts accepting guests on July 3rd.

In continuing with our Loyalty Program Guide we just stumbled across this offer from Starwood Preferred Guests program encouraging new members to stay at a Four Points.

Why? Because you can earn up to 4,000 points. According to this latest promotion:

Just stay four nights at any Four Points by Sheraton hotel worldwide now through November 18, 2007 and receive 4,000 Starpoints®.

If you're already an SPG members you can also register online to take advantage of the offer. That's pretty cool. We just wish we had four nights to kill at a Four Points somewhere.
