If you thought that Valentine's Day was the only romantic day of the year, think again. It turns out that September 26 is National Love Note Day, giving all of you would-be Justin Bieber stalkers hopeless romantic poets a legitimate reason to pen sappy love notes to the object(s) of your affections.

Not quite the romance writer you hoped you'd be? Allow Four Seasons Boston to help. The hotel's Room for Romance package will place a love note featuring different quotes on the bed at turndown. These notes feature either quotes from a famous author, song lyrics and even movie quotes. (But please, use something more original than "You complete me.")

Of course, if you do think your flowery musings are good enough, the hotel will deliver a personal love note as well.

After dealing with two dudes who wanted separate beds in NYC, we've got another hotel question about New York in our inboxes. This time, it's from a lady who doesn't want two beds as she's looking for a one-night romantic stay in the Big Apple. She writes:

Jason and I are looking for a NYC hotel for just one night in Nov. I believe most of them require two and we'll do that if it's the case, but we want to go to a really nice one that's not $1,100 a night like the Pennisula, but something boutique-y and quaint. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks.

The pool at Las Ventanas. We declare it #winning.

The question that we’re chewing over as we chew over our oatmeal this morning: if you were embarking on a new affair with a sexy celeb, where would you take them for a night of passion?

In the red corner, we have Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez who, it turns out, spent the night before the Oscars shacked up with the cougars in a penthouse suite at the St. Regis Monarch Beach at Dana Point.

And in the blue are Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn who, Perez Hilton revealed yesterday, swept into Cabo for a one nighter at Las Ventanas al Paraiso on Tuesday. A spy reported that the pair were:

At the resort's spa bar, drinking margaritas, talking, smoking and nibbling on ceviche. When they finished, they left quietly and casually, but also hand in hand!

Welcome to our regular feature, Pitch Your Hotel, where we let hoteliers, general managers and other hotel execs tell us on-camera what makes their hotels so different from all the rest. And believe us, the competition is fierce these days. So sit back, relax and listen to them explain why their hotels are worthy of your hard-earned dollars or rewards points.

Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos has come up with some pretty awesome amenities over time—pool butlers who will bring you iPods and “Hot Type” books and afternoon sorbet; aromatherapy, after-dinner bath, and bed sheet menus for the guest suites; sewing kits that have been personalized to the palette of your wardrobe; a tequila welcome platter with various gourmet salts; protected sea turtle release; and, of course, our favorite: a Director of Romance on staff. File that under Cool Hotel Jobs.

'The Bachelorette' Takes Her Hostages, Er, Men to Tahiti

July 29, 2010 at 1:56 PM | by | Comments (0)

Ok folks, here's the deal. We have zero interest in "The Bachelorette" Ali Fedotowsky and her quest to find the man of her dreams. Call us jaded or whatever but we think "The Bachelor/Bachelorette" track record for "true love" speaks for itself.

However, we do get our kicks from the sexy destinations where the final rose ceremony goes down. Last season's "The Bachelor", found Jake and his girls in St. Lucia at two different romantic resorts and this season, Ali takes her beefcakes to Tahiti Hotels.

Everyone shacked up at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui (formerly a Starwood Hotel) but a few date activities were also planned at the nearby Le Taha'a Island Resort & Spa. The scenes were shot in early May and according to the rags, Ali has indeed picked a poor unfortunate soul to torture fiancee!

Follow Jake and Vienna to the Exotic Hotels of 'The Bachelor' in Saint Lucia

Where: Saint Lucia
March 2, 2010 at 9:20 AM | by | Comments (0)

Last night, the 14th season of 'The Bachelor' came to an appropriately romantic end amongst the dreamlike, exotic environs of the island of Saint Lucia. Since St. Lucia is known as a seriously romantic destination, we weren't too surprised that the crew hauled Jake the pilot and his final three girls down there, but we were shocked at how much they got around the island's many luxurious hotels. Let's break them down, shall we?

· Jade Mountain
This is without a doubt the most important hotel of them all, so we're starting with it. It's where Jake stayed, and it's where the pivotal decision moment happened at the end of the season. Jade Mountain is an architectural, organic masterpieces, and it's consistently ranked as the top Caribbean resort, with room rates (starting from $1,200 a night) to reflect its pedigree. Infinity pools, open-air sanctuary suites and ridiculously awesome views complete the package. It was up on it's Celestial Terrace that Jake chose his final girl.

Smooch Like 'The Bachelor' In St. Lucia With a 'Wings of Love' Package

We don't know about you, but the ABC Show "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" has us falling more in love with the romantic island of St. Lucia more than the hunky pilot who stars, and his three potential mates with whom he's traveled to this tropical place. Jake Pavelka, a pilot for Atlantic Southeast Airlines, is nearing the end of his reality television search for his love, and the cast and crew of the show have flown down to St. Lucia, known as a honeymoon paradise, for the final couple episodes

Amongst all the bikinis and sunset smooching, we get glimpses of Jake's fabulous "Fantasy Suite" at Jade Mountain Resort, which we visited ourselves recently. But on tonight's episode, Jake has his last-chance with Tenley at Jalousie Plantation, and the hotel has pulled out all the stops to recreate the romantic experience for you with a "Wings of Love" package.
