We told you about the Real Housewives of New Jersey bar fight that went down at the Hard Rock Punta Cana. But deets are now surfacing, and it looks like housewife Teresa Giudice is being blamed for starting the brawl.
You're probably wondering if she instigated the February 23 fight by calling someone a "prostitution whore" or flipping over a table. Nope, according to RadarOnline, all she did to get a bar-goer angry was pop open a bottle of bubbly.

Rancho Bernardo Inn Hosts 'Real Housewife' Alexis and Her King
Plastic-looking Real Housewives of Orange County newbie Alexis Bellino, her "king and savior"—a.k.a. her husband "Taliban Jim"—and their three kids crashed the luxe Rancho Bernardo Inn for a family vacay in the last episode. And of course, in true Housewives fashion, they caused some ruckus.
"We chose Rancho Bernardo Inn because we wanted something exclusive, and it is just an amazing resort," Alexis said. Good thing it's so amazing; hubbie Jim started rudely ordering the San Diego hotel staff to remove furniture out of the suite the moment he entered the room.

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Brawl at the Hard Rock Punta Cana

Oscars, Schmoscars. We may have liked the pretty dresses on display last night but the celeb news we’re really lubsing from this weekend is that the Real Housewives of New Jersey got into a bar brawl at the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana. That’s, like, so Jersey Shore season 1!
According to TMZ:
A couple of castmembers were hanging out at a bar inside the Hard Rock around 1:00 AM Wednesday morning when they got into a heated argument with a male patron.
We're told someone involved in the argument grabbed a drinking glass and smashed it over the man's head ... and the guy was hurt so badly, he needed immediate medical attention.
It’s still not known which members of the cast were involved, but all of them, including their other halves, had flown down for a week’s holiday last Sunday.
Still, we’ll know soon enough. According to the New York Post, the event was all caught on camera. Place your bets now.

Spa Like A Real Housewife At The JW Marriott Marquis Miami

The Real Housewives Of Miami may not even have started yet (it premieres February 22), but already the tie-ins are beginning.
This one’s a little tenuous: one of the wives, Marysol Patton, is a PR for the RikRak Salon at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Miami, and so the hotel has produced a Rik Rak Laid Back package.
It’s not the most exciting, either – it gets you an upgrade to a Deluxe Bay View room, breakfast, an hour-long couples massage at RikRak and (possibly the best bit) a 6pm late checkout, depending on availability.
It’s available through September 12 and starts at $369 for the low (summer) season and $569 until 15 April. Just check your dates carefully because the savings vary – to stay over for the season premiere will cost $569 with the package and $489 for a Bay View room on its own – which definitely makes it worth a saving and worth doing even if you're more a fan of massage than of reality TV.

Kelsey Grammer Books the Plaza For His Wedding Reception
Here’s some news to detract from the Sheen of bad stuff that we can’t help but feel is still kinda tarnishing The Plaza – Kelsey Grammer and his flight attendant honey just chose it as the spot for their wedding reception.
According to the New York Post, they’ve booked the ballroom on February 25 at a grand cost of $100,000.
A source told the Post:
Kelsey and Kayte have booked the Plaza ballroom for the reception. Despite the lavish surroundings, they want an intimate wedding with less than 150 guests. Kayte has laid out all the details, all the timings. The room will be decorated all in white, including a white cake.

Has Anyone Ever Stayed at Taliban Jim's In Vogue Hotel?
Last year, we were all in a tizzy about the In Vogue Hotel in Laguna Beach, which was supposedly owned by "Real Housewives" husband, Jim "Taliban Jim" Bellino.
But has anyone actually stayed there? A concerned reader writes to us:
My wife and I are going to a wedding in Laguna Niguel in July. I was searching for a place to stay and found invogue on trip advisor. We contacted them and rates seem low (around1500 for a week in the summer). Problem is we can find no reviews for the place and it has been opened for 2 years. Have you found any additional info on invogue?

Someone at the Soho Grand Really Likes Expensive Handbags
Update: The Soho Grand has given HotelChatter a statement regarding the incident below.
Remember way back when in 2007 when Kirsten Dunst had her suite broken into and her handbag stolen at the Soho Grand? Well, a few years later they finally punished the guy for the crime but it turns out the hotel is still a favorite for thieves with expensive handbag tastes.
Our fairy godmother Lisa Vanderpump of the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" had several of her own to-die-for handbags stolen during a recent stay at the hotel. She tells gossip site Radar Online:
"I had four purses valued at just over $8,000 including two Christian Louboutins, one Louis Vuitton and one Channel. Those were my signature bags. Boy do I feel violated," Lisa tells us.
Lisa, known as "Pinky" to close friends, was staying at the hotel while filming scenes for RHOBH. The reality star says she complained to management but feels she is getting the run around.

New York is Not a Dream for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Yes, we're following yet another season of Bravo's Real Housewives franchise--this time it's with the lovely ladies who love luxury of Beverly Hills. The other week they jetted off to The Palms in Vegas, owned by their friend Adrienne Maloof, for a Jay-Z concert.
This week, they've traveled to NYC to attend the opening of La Cage Aux Folles, starring Camille Grammer's now ex-husband, Kelsey Grammer.
After getting a brief cockpit instruction from the Virgin America pilots, the gals landed without incident and were whisked away by private car to the Dream Hotel. While not our top choice for the Housewives (we think our fairy godmother Lisa would have been happier at The Surrey), the Dream is closely located to Times Square and Broadway. Plus, the hotel has been a big supporter of Broadway shows recently.
But back to the drama. The gals were shacked up in suites of which we really only saw one. And despite Camille saying it felt like a "party hotel", there was no celebration happening here whatsoever.

Westin Jersey City Wants to See Your Big, Teresa Giudice-style Jersey Hair
Once upon a time, the member of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" making all the headlines was Danielle Staub, aka the "Prostitution Whore." These days, after news of bankruptcy proceedings and anti-semitic comments made by her daughter, it's Teresa Giudice getting all the attention. She's probably best known as the one who called Staub a "prostitution whore" and, in a rage, flipped a table.
Well it turns out that Miss Thang is not only getting attention for herself, but also a New Jersey hotel—the Westin Jersey City-Newport, to be exact. On the newest episode of the reality show, airing Monday July 26, we will get to see Giudice's 10th Anniversary dinner in the Presidential Suite with her husband. Was there more table-flipping? Probably not, but that doesn't mean that the Westin is content to stay quiet in the background.

Simon Van Kempen is Working From The Hotel Chandler Today (Maybe)
So says his Twitter stream.
Even if no one cares whether or not "Real Househusband" Simon Van Kempen works at the Hotel Chandler, we're still committed to finding some evidence that he really does work at the hotel and that it's not a Tori Spelling sort of sham.
The online evidence is slim but it's there. In fact, Simon even tweeted about "work" today saying:
Heading off to work where #Realhousewives is banished for the day while the real work happens.
We're hoping work is his work as General Manager at the hotel but it could always mean work on his book promotion or his house renovation out in Brooklyn. Yet we still have reason to believe he is on-property some days. Prior to this, his last Tweet about the hotel was done on February 9 in which he wrote:
it's barely snowing yet 2mrw we'll wake up 2 Snowmageddon. School's off & Francois wants me 2 stay home but 120 occ rooms in the hotel await

Is Simon Van Kempen Still the General Manager of the Hotel Chandler?
He's on Real Housewives of NYC, he's on Twitter, he has a new book coming out about kids in the city that he co-wrote with his wife but is Simon Van Kempen still working at Hotel Chandler? You know the Murray Hill hotel which people once thought he was the owner of but really, he was just the general manager?
All signs point to no. Simon seems way to busy now with RHNYC and other activities to deal with any day-to-day hotel job.
And in his bio on his notorious website, the text mysteriously cuts off just after he gabs about his Australia hotel career. Of course, maybe we shouldn't read too much into that. On his Facebook page, not only is it his birthday today but his "Info" page says he's still the General Manager of the Chandler. Maybe at a small property like the Chandler it's possible to be both a GM and reality TV star. Who knows?
