Remember earlier this year, when the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announced they would be creating the Radisson Red brand as well as the Quorvus Collection of hotels? Well, today we've got the names of the very first members of the Quorvus Collection.
They are the dandy May Fair Hotel in London, the G&V Royal Mile Hotel in Edinburgh (aka the Missoni Edinburgh Hotel) and the Symphony Style Hotel in Kuwait also formerly known as the Missoni Kuwait hotel. While the Missoni Hotel brand has gone away, it looks like the Missoni prints will remain for a little while longer. But there will be some design changes, according to this article which says that the Edinburgh property will get new Scottish-inspired designs from local designers. Not sure what's on tap for Kuwait.
While the Quorvus Collection looks like a convenient way to pick up the pieces after the end of Missoni, a press release has dished some more info on the collection and the interesting name:

Lately, we've been very impressed with the stateside appearance of Carlson Rezidor's Radisson Blu brand which has brought cool design (and free WiFi) to the Radisson name. And now there are two more Carlson Rezidor brands to get excited about--Radisson Red and the Quorvus Collection.
Described as "lifestyle select" brand, Radisson Red will have a "forward-thinking focus on design and detail, the customer experience, personal interaction, personal choice and recognition of the increasingly important role that technology plays in facilitating the best of everyday life." And boy does technology really play a big role at Radisson Red.
The hotel brand will launch with its own mobile app that will allow guests not only to check-in through their phone but order a drink at the bar, food from the deli and manage the environment of their room. Even though the M word (Millennial) was not mentioned in their brand description, this is totes the crowd they are going after.
Radisson Red is expected to launch simultaneously in 2015 in urban centers in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. Whoa. That is a serious roll-out. But it's a smart move because the Millennials are coming! Perhaps, Taylor Swift could be the brand ambassador?
