IHG Hotels Roll Out 'Suitcase Skittles' Gimmick

As if any of us needed more ways to procrastinate at work (read: waste time), we present Suitcase Skittles, a silly online game that at least comes with the chance of winning thousands of Priority Club Rewards points.
Here’s how it works: Go to SuitcaseSkittles.com (after reading the rest of this post, obviously). Play their quick game, which involves hurling a succession of eight suitcases at a pyramid of Mario-looking baggage handlers (poor things can’t catch a break).
After you’ve relieved your airport stress, enter your email address, or Priority Club Rewards ID number if you’re already a member, submit, and voila! You’ve been entered into their prize drawing to win 30,000, 60,000, or 100,000 Priority Club Rewards points, which they say is enough for a free night’s stay at an InterContinental Hotels Group hotel, or points toward a free European flight. And then, certainly, you have the chance to sign up to become a Priority Club member.

IHG's Priority Club Now Offering Members 'Flights Anywhere'
Staying in this pretty Hotel Indigo could earn you a free flight!

If you're a member of the IHG Hotels' Priority Club loyalty program, you could be jetting off to your next vacation, courtesy of all your hard-earned rewards points.
Today, the Priority Club has officially launched its "Flights Anywhere" program that allows members to redeem their points for flights on more than 400 airlines worldwide, without restrictions on availability.
You can even combine points and cash for flights, if you find yourself a little short or hesitant to binge on all your points for a flight. So far, Priority Club is the first and only hotel loyalty program that offers this option.
However, as with most redemption programs you need a lot of points to get what you want.

Complaining at the Holiday Inn Might Get You More Priority Club Points
If you're a fervent hotel loyalty program member then you might be familiar with the term Mattress Runner.
These are people who just book hotel rooms to garner a certain amount of points that will either take them to the next loyalty echelon (gold, platinum, etc.) or earn them a free stay.
So the question for Mattress Runners is: What would you put up with for 50,000 points?
We have a first-hand experience of one guest who had much to complain about at a Holiday Inn near the Atlanta airport. Yet it turns out, all that grief made him loaded in Priority Club points. Mattress runners take note.
The full story is after the jump.
