Going Pink On Madison Avenue
Spoiled princess? Grandma chic? What's your take on this week's all-pink bathroom?. After last week's all black-and-white affair, we felt a little color was necessary. Perhaps we ventured too far to the other side of the spectrum?
As a bonus, we also are including a special video we shot from the wraparound Madison Avenue-facing balcony, attached to the suite. Though, when you're this high up, "avenue-facing" becomes more a figure of speech than anything else. It might be more accurate to say "avenue-defying."

This Is Where Michelle Obama Stayed In Cape Town

Lots of hotels have presidential suites. Though we can't manage to get a video camera into all of them, we can sometimes get excited when we learn of a particular guest that has stayed in one.
Back in June, in the days leading up to Mandela Day, Michelle Obama visited Cape Town, where she reportedly toured the District 6 Museum and lunched at the Kitchen, a small deli on Sir Lowry Road Woodstock. Her hotel of choice? The Table Bay Hotel, where she, Sasha, and Malia slept in the Table Mountain Presidential Suite.

Want To Learn How To Make A Manhattan? Sit Here

If you had to name one essential component of a Presidential Suite, what would it be? A dining room table? Piano? Great views? According to The Surrey, it would have to be a graffiti-covered leather chaise lounge with detailed instructions on how to make a Manhattan cocktail.
Stashed away on the fourteenth floor, the Surrey's $7,000-a-night Presidential Suite is not the kind of room you sit around and play cards in. With its huge terrace, baby grand piano, and separate kitchen, the space was simply built for lavish parties straight out of a Fitzgerald novel. And in the event you should forget how to prepare Manhattan's eponymous cocktail, the recipe is conveniently written onto the furniture.

Inside The Westin Times Square's Presidential Suite

It isn't every day we get to peek inside the Presidential Suite of a major Times Square hotel. But when the opportunity to tour the one inside the Westin Times Square presented itself to us yesterday—at the tail end of a hot, sticky, generally unpleasant weekend—we jumped at it.

Falling Over with Luxury: The New Presidential Suites at Hilton Niagara Falls

Did you know that Canada's tallest hotel tower is actually the Hilton Hotel and Suites Niagara Falls/Fallsview? We did not know this until we got word that the hotel has completed a pair of Presidential Suites atop the hotel tower's 50th floor, giving guests views of both the American and the Canadian side of the falls. (So both President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Stephen Harper can stay in Presidential digs at the same time.)
Designed to magnify the beauty of Niagara Falls, the brand new Presidential Suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, accompanied by remote controlled blinds and shades, and a chic atmosphere created by the décor in shades of white, silver and black. Upon entering the suite, guests will find themselves in a small foyer that opens up to 1,500 square feet of pure luxury. On the one side of the foyer is an intimate sitting room; complete with a full bathroom and access to a balcony, perched 50 stories above the city!

Obama Was Celebrating in the Hyatt Regency Chicago's Presidential Suite

Dude, you just won!
Photos of President-Elect Barack Obama celebrating his victory has been made public on Flickr by photographer David Katz and almost immediately our brain was asking, "What hotel is this?"
Obvs it had to be close to Grant Park where the victory celebration was held. After doing some research we are positive it was the Hyatt Regency Chicago on Wacker Drive. (See here.) And naturally, the celebration was held in the hotel's presidential suite.
The ideal location to host an impressive VIP event, the Presidential Suite boasts an extra large parlor with a large plasma screen TV, cable and in-room pay movies, a surround sound system and an iHome Alarm Clock.
There is indeed an iHome Alarm clock as we spied it in the corner of this pic. And unlike many hotels with HD flat-screen TVs, this one actually looks like it gets HD reception. However, we could probably do without Hyatt's signature anonymously-modern decor. It just looks so impersonal. C'mon, this man just won the presidency!
