Isn't it always sunny at The Plaza? You'd think that after coming out of their $400 million dollar renovation they would be able to control the weather. Especially if guests are spending upwards of $800 a night, the stay better be perfect for enjoying the Plaza's prime location on Central Park South within walking distance to all the haute boutiques.

At their Fifth Avenue entrance, which consistently reeks of horse dung as the park's carriages idle across the street, the hotel has this shiny brass barometer to give a shorthand version of the day's forecast. It is hung a little high up to be of any real use, but at least it's spot on; this past week in New York has been fair alright, fairly miserably hot and muggy.
