Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson Shack Up at the Se San Diego
Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz, his wifey, Melrose Place startlet Ashlee Simpson, and their son Bronx Mowgli checked into the Se San Diego last week.
According to People magazine, the couple rented two condos in the hotel. The condos come with perks like retractable glass walls—to give your room that alfresco feeling—and since the condos are on the upper floors of the 23-story-tall building, they have sweet views of the city. Plus, the condos have chic touches like Nepali carpets, Italian built-in kitchens and islands complete with appliances, and bathrooms with televisions built into the mirrors and steam showers.

Pete and Ashlee Choose Hotel Bel-Air for Baby Wentz's Shower
We've given the Hotel Bel-Air a hard time in the past. Travel + Leisure named it the number one hotel in L.A. this summer, and we spent a little bit of time wondering if the property was worthy of such a title.
But nevermind what kind of recognition we think the hotel deserves: a very preggers Ashlee Simpson deemed it worthy of hosting her baby shower.
On Saturday, Ashlee's mom and famous sister threw her a co-ed baby shower in the hotel's Palm Room (above) with 40 guests and some crabcakes. Star Mag had the scoop:
"The room was decorated with yellow and orange roses, and guests were given jars of honey with custom-made labels that said 'Baby Wentz' and 'Thank You For Celebrating My Life' on them," says a party guest. "The girls were also given bracelets that had a big bumble bee on them.
Frankly, we were a little bit surprised that the fam selected the classic Bel-Air for the soiree rather than one of L.A.'s trendier, more modern hotspots -- especially given the faux-hipster-ish look of the young couple. Perhaps this means the choice to go with the classic, older-glam hotel is an indication that Ashlee and Pete are growing up a little bit ... or maybe they just didn't want the usual paparazzi to be all over them.

Barcelona Hotel Scene :: The ME Hotel Celebrates Opening with Fall Out Boy
This week we're taking a look at what's going on in Barcelona. We actually spent some time there a few weeks ago so we'll be dropping our own hotel reviews as well as news on the Barcelona Hotel Scene in general. Any questions? Send it our way.

ME Hotels which has a few popular properties in Cabo, Mexico and Madrid has opened their fourth hotel, this time in Barcelona.
The ME Barcelona hotel hosted a grand-opening party on October 9th which featured a performance by Fall Out Boy whose guitarist Pete Wentz opened an outpost of his Angels & Kings bar on the hotel's sixth floor.
The hotel is located on Diagonal Alley in the city's modern 22@ district and the hotel's building is actually 30 stories tall. So it's quite a different stay than the swank old guard hotels of the Eixample district.
Designed by renowned French architect Dominique Perrault, the 30-story building features 259 rooms and suites, all with magnificent views of either the mountains of Barcelona or the Mediterranean. The lobby is a modern and dramatic, but inviting space, filled with lively world music, local art and a fresh scent developed exclusively for ME Barcelona.

The Night Hotel Scene of Pete Wentz's 'Clandestine' Fashion Preview

Women's Wear Daily, the daily fashion industry staple, reports that Fall Our Boy bassist/lyricist and Ashlee Simpson fiancee/baby daddy was in New York last week to show off his latest Clandestine Industries clothing collection.
Yep, this rocker has a fashion line of junior and men's apparel.
Wentz apparently previewed the clothes at The Night Hotel in Midtown to a group of fashion editors. Considering that the logo for Clandestine is essentially a bat and that the Night Hotel is a dark gothic space, the venue couldn't have been more apropro.
You know, we once said that the Night Hotel was perfect for goth enthusiasts from the midwest and guess what? Wentz is from Illinois.
Still, we can't bag on the Night too much. The location in Times Square is killer (if that's what you're into) and they've been having some decent rates as of late with some under $200 a night.
