Royal Hideaway Playacar Will Give You Airfare Credits

Last month, we were all giddy about the airfare credits that two of the Tides Hotels in Mexico were dishing out. It turns out that the all-inclusive Royal Hideaway Playacar is doing the same sort of thing.

The airfare credit varies from resort to resort and depends on the length of stay. For example, guests who book a five to seven night stay by January 30th will receive a $500 air credit AND a "night of romance" which is basically just the standard romantic amenities--champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries and a one hour couples massage.

Similarly, guests who book a four night stay will receive the same romantic amenities and $300 in airfare credit. All travel must be booked by January 30th for stays through March 31st. Another bonus at this resort? No children under the age of 13. Yes.

HotelChatter Reader Deals :: $48 at an Occidental Resort This Fall

September 8, 2008 at 4:19 PM | by juliana | 0 Comments

Occidental's All-Inclusive Fall Sales
From $48 per person

We're not a big fan of all-inclusive vacations over here but these ones from Occidental Hotels & Resorts throughout Mexico, Costa Rica, Aruba and the Dominican Republic are really kind of tempting.

The cheapest deal starts at $48 per person at the Allegra Playa Dorada in the Dominican Republic. This includes meals, drinks (alcoholic ones too) and all sorts of fun beach activities. Not that we would do anything more than eat and drink. Kids under 12 also stay for free.

All travel needs to be booked by October 15th for stays through December 19th. Here is the website with the special sale prices listed for each resort. Please carefully read the fine print before booking.

While the Democratic nominee is not clear yet--Hilary ain't giving up--there is some respite for real presidents.

We're talking about presidents of big corporations or presidents of the PTA or anything in between: the Royal Hideaway Playacar doesn't care what kind of president you are, as long as your business card or letterhead proves it, you'll get presidential treatment at their Yucatan all-inclusive resort.

Let Your Soul Glow at the Occidental for the Soul Beach Music Festival

Go To The Hotel's Web
Site Where: J.E. Irausquin Blvd 83, Palm Beach, Aruba
April 22, 2008 at 4:13 PM | by amandak | 1 Comment

Coming up over the Memorial Day Weekend is the Soul Beach Music Festival, taking place from May 21 to 26 on Aruba. It's the eighth year that this festival's been run--and the fourth year that it's taken place in Aruba--and some of the singers this year include Erykah Badu, Sinbad, Wyclef Jean and Sean Kingston.

A bunch of hotels are acting as hosts for the festival, and one of these is the Occidental Grand Aruba on Palm Beach. It's an all-inclusive resort with almost 400 rooms and suites, plus six restaurants and five bars; plenty of space for fun and action, and probably the right kind of resort to chill in during a soul fest.

The Occidental Grand still has rooms left for the whole festival week, and a deluxe room for two (all-inclusive, of course), starts at $2,280 for five nights. Along with meals, this all-inclusive price also includes activities like sailing, snorkeling, kayaking and tennis, in case you run out of steam at the music festival. Personally we might hang too long at the concerts to make the most of that, but it's nice to have the option.
