Natasha Bedingfield Scouts Out Local 'Talent' for Hotel Indigo
This looks like American Idol, but it is definitely not.
Proving that they are serious about their commitment to the local scene, Hotel Indigo has started a new contest for locals to share what makes their neighborhood so great. It's called, simply--Locals Know Best.
All you have to do is hit up LocalsKnowBestContest.com and answer the question "What makes your neighborhood great" in 75 words or less, along with upload a photo. Don't feel like doing it online but would rather make an impassioned plea in person? You can do that at Hotel Indigo properties across the country.
The hotel brand has asked singer/songwriter Natasha Bedingfield to tour Hotel Indigos across the U.S. and serve as a judge for their "Locals Know Best--Live." These auditions kicked off yesterday in Atlanta and are set to hit Nashville net week and San Diego the week after. But don't worry, there's no singing or dancing required. Just simply tell Natasha and the Hotel Indigo judges what makes your neighborhood great and bring a long a photo. That's Natasha above at the Atlanta "auditions" yesterday.

W Hotels Satisfy Your Wonderlust For Sony Stars

W Hotels are kicking off something new today with the first of their Wonderlust W All Access gigs at W New York Union Square. Natasha Bedingfield is the first Sony/BMG artist to perform a private concert at the W and rumor has it that other Sony-signed singers will be next--maybe at other W Hotels across the country, but we'll have to wait and see.
The deal for the Natasha Bedingfield concert isn't bad: you get the private concert, two cocktails, late (3pm) check-out and your room, for $989. No cancellations allowed--you lose all your cash--because they don't want the exclusive concert to be any more exclusive than necessary.
The deal requires 24 hour advance reservation so you're probably too late for Natasha, but we'll let you know when we hear about the next gigs.
