Hotel News Briefs :: Olympic Hotels Dropping Their Prices

There's tons of hotel news flying around this week and we don't have time to give each and every story the love and attention it may deserve, so you will have to settle for some news briefs.

· Hotel Guest Spotted in Beijing: The Fuhao hotel accepts some guests! Turns out Beijing hotels are dropping their prices as the Olympics near because expected demand has fallen short. [ESPN]

· Justice for Elie Wiesel: The Holocaust survivor/author/Nobel laureaut Elie Wiesel was attacked by a young man in an elevator at San Fran's Argent Hotel back in 2007. Today a jury found the man guilty of a felony hate crime charge. [SF Chronicle]

· Link@Sheraton is For Real: Sheraton's new techy lounge with free WiFi and more geeky stuff is now open at the Sheraton in North Houston, Texas. [MarketWatch]

· Super Vintage at Gehry's Hotel: The Hotel Marqués de Riscal in Spain, designed by Frank Gehry, is offering a Super Vintage weekend package which includes loads of food, wine-tastings and lectures and a gala complete with a Christie's Live Auction. Up for bid is the largest vertical wine collection ever released by a winery. The whole shebang is $3,800 per person. [Forbes]

· Naomi Campbell Refuses to Pay Hotel Bill?: A new report says the supermodel has refused to pay a £200 hotel bill at the Ritz-Carlton Moscow after allegedly burning holes in the silk sheets of her bed. Sounds right to us! [Mr. Paparazzi]
